Below Deck alum Kate Chastain debunked the baby daddy rumors which claimed that chef Ben Robinson was the newborn’s father. She recently gave birth to a baby boy and named him Sullivan Cay. Since she shared her son’s photo on social media, fans speculated that Kate’s Below Deck co-star and close friend Ben was the father.

Kate and Ben once got intimate on Below Deck

Kate Chastain was one of Captain Lee Rosbach’s favorite chief stews. She joined Below Deck in season 2 and left after completing season 7.

Kate and chef Ben Robinson (seasons 1-4) met during the Bravo show, and have been friends for a long time now. They were seen fighting, partying, and flirting throughout their Below Deck journey. Several times fans speculated a spark between the cast members, but the two always denied it.

However, in 2019, Kate appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show WWHL (Watch What Happens Live) and confirmed that she and the chef once hooked up. During the "Would You Sc*ew That Crew?” round, Andy asked her whether the crew member could be chef Ben.

She replied:

“Not again.”

While the audience was caught by surprise with the answer, the next response left them in splits. Andy asked Kate to name her favorite crew member, and she said:

“And my favorite is probably Ben. And that might be because we had s*x.”

Throughout the years, the two have been good friends and have appeared together on Below Deck Galley Talk episodes multiple times. She posted a clip on March 11 when she was heavily pregnant and was sharing a couch with chef Ben.

Since she left the reality TV show, Kate has achieved many milestones. Her bio on Bravo’s site read:

“Kate Chastain, a Florida native well-known and beloved for her role as Chief Stew on Bravo’s Below Deck, has jumped ship and retired from yachtie life after six seasons as a star and fan favorite on the show. Along with expanding her impressive career over international waters and being a Bravo household name, Kate is a celebrated author, philanthropist, podcaster, radio show host and dog mom. Kate began her yachting career in 2007.”

Her last reality TV show was Peacock’s Traitor. She is currently focused on her first baby boy, Sullivan.

Meanwhile, Below Deck ended its 10th season in March and will soon return with a new season on Bravo.
