Claims of the Walt Disney company breaking up Minnie and Mickey Mouse have spread like wildfire on social media. The children’s favorite animated characters have been together for almost 100 years. Fans have followed their ups and downs for decades. On October 9, Marvel Comics shared a social media post for their 60th anniversary of X-Men and The Avengers. This also included Disney characters in their What If… comic collection. In one of their covers, fans were quick to notice that Mickey Mouse was not with Minnie, but with Daisy Duck.
A screenshot of an article sharing the announcement was also quick to go viral online, leaving netizens shocked.
Many could not believe that Mickey Mouse was partnered with the other character. Some netizens were outraged by the potential breakup of the beloved couple.
As many took to the internet to express how disheartened they were, they failed to check whether Mickey and Minnie Mouse remained a couple in the Disney universe.
