According to a report by TMZ dated December 21, 2024, Blake Lively has sued Justin Baldoni for s*xual harassment and for launching a smear campaign against her to destroy her reputation via a PR crisis team.
The publication mentioned that Blake Lively addressed a list of demands concerning Justin Baldoni's conduct during the meeting, which included that Baldoni couldn't mention Blake's dead father or inquire about her weight, among other demands.
Details of Blake Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni as reported by TMZ state that there was a list of demands that Lively presented owing to Baldoni's conduct. These demands included: no more mention of Baldoni's alleged previous addiction to p*rnography, no more showing n*de videos or photos of women to Lively, and no more discussions of "s*xual conquests" in front of Lively and others.
The demands also stated no further references to the cast and crew's genitalia, no further mention of Blake's late father, and no further inquiries about Lively's weight. The lawsuit mentioned that at the time the list of demands was put forth, there was also a condition of "no more adding of s*x scenes, oral s*x or on camera climaxing by BL [Blake Lively] outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project."
Presence of an intimacy coordinator on set and more: Blake Lively's demands from Justin Baldoni explored
According to a report by Daily Mail dated December 22, 2024, Lively's list of demands from Justin Baldoni comprised 30 demands. In addition to the ones mentioned by TMZ, Blake Lively asked for a clear set of boundaries when it came to filming the s*x and intimacy scenes of the movie.
The actress demanded an intimacy coordinator on set at all times in every scene involving herself and Baldoni, adding that there mustn't be any improvised kissing scenes. The document listing Lively's demands read:
"No biting or sucking of lip without [Lively's] consent"
The Gossip Girl actress also demanded that a coordinator be present while filming the s*x scenes and that a monitor pre-approved by Lively oversee the same.
The actress demanded that people working on intimate scenes had to be professionals pre-approved by her and not friends of the director or producer.
Lively's demands also included that she wouldn't film any more n*de scenes without a SAG-complaint n*dity rider, a document outlining the specifics of a scene. Scenes shot without the rider couldn't be used without the consent of the actress' legal team.
Additionally, Lively said that Justin Baldoni and Jamey Heath would come into her trailer while she was n*de, so one of her demands was to stop Baldoni from entering or attempting to enter her trailer for any reason while she was undressed.
The actress demanded an experienced producer to oversee the set for the cast's safety and asked for Sony to have a more active role in producing the movie.
Lively's final request was for an in-person meeting before the film's production resumed so everyone could go over the demands and ensure that they would be adhered to for the safety of the actress, people on set, and her staff.
Moreover, it was reportedly agreed that Blake Lively's demands would not receive retaliatory or abusive reactions as she wanted to put safeguards in place.
Justin Baldoni's lawyer comments on Blake Lively's lawsuit
According to a report by ABC 7 dated December 22, 2024, Bryan Freedman, the attorney for Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and Jamey Heath, commented on Lively's accusations in a statement to CNN. Freedman said:
"These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media."
He continued:
"It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives, as yet another desperate attempt to 'fix' her negative reputation"
