This episode's official synopsis reads:
"Sara must face the music, as word of her return spreads through town; Victor and Jade strike an unlikely bargain."
Sara, who has had a very sinister past, has finally returned to the town, and its residents have even started feeling her presence once again. They are not at all happy to see her, since she is often seen as a monster and a curse to the town.
While she tries to settle in, everyone else wants her thrown out of town. Boyd, who brought her back, faces the difficult task of convincing the townspeople to allow her, despite the poor girl's history.

The official synopsis of This Way Gone reads:
"As Boyd's condition grows more alarming, Sara's return to town puts him in a difficult position; Jim shares a troubling new theory about the town."
Boyd's condition worsened as it took a very dark turn. He had always been haunted by evil entities. Sara finally made a much-awaited return to the town, but in turn, she put it in jeopardy.
Lastly, Jim found out a shocking theory about the town's history.

In a recent interview, show lead Harold Perrineau, who is best known for his role as Michael Dawson in ABC's Lost, commented on his character Boyd Stevens' story so far by saying:
"I think Boyd is on a journey and it's a really different journey than the one he was on in the first season. In the first season he was on the journey that he thinks he understood."
