Gen V episode 7 is expanding the storyline to connect to the original series, The Boys, with characters from the parent series making appearances in the show. The newest trailer for the upcoming episode teases Marie challenging Victoria Neuman of the original show, which will bring more action to the plot. More secrets will be unveiled about the Woods, including information about a virus to be made contagious and meant to cause havoc.

Gen V episode 7 will air on Prime Video at its stipulated time on October 27, 2023. The show is keeping the intense thrill intact, as was done during The Boys seasons 1–3. The season which is coming to an end with the eighth episode, has been renewed for a second season.

Gen V episode 7 will lead the plot to the season finale of episode 8. As such, the Woods experiment under Dean Shetty is significant and will continue to be the center of the Godolkin students’ actions. It remains to be seen whether Marie and her friends are able to stop the nasty work in this matter or fail to do so.

If they are able to contain the spread of the virus, there may be consequences of this action, calling in the authorities’ wrath. On the contrary, they may not be able to contain the development of the virus in the two upcoming episodes, leading to the plot for season 2. In both situations, Marie and her allies will be in danger if Shetty uses Cardosa’s contagious Supe virus against the students.

Another interesting event episode 7 will see is the arrival of Victoria Neuman, as per the teaser. Victoria was last seen in The Boys as the vice presidential candidate whom Homelander helped. While Billy Butcher had commented that she might be the next target for the team, her arrival in Gen V episode 7 connects the two shows officially.

Victoria’s presence points to another fact that Gen V episode 7 may be laying the foundation for the plot of The Boys season 4. There may be a plot twist that indicates a crossover between the two series, which may bring more characters from the parent series into the spinoff and vice versa.

A short recap of Gen V episode 6

The events of Gen V episode 7 are a direct step up from the previous episode. Gen V episode 6, titled Jumanji, added a thrill to the show by exposing the secret in the Woods experiment and the faces behind it. The episode started with the effect of Dr. Cardosa’s virus on a Supe kid who was unable to use her electrical powers.

This happened after the virus was injected into her body and got infused with compound V already present, which led to the weakening of her powers. Using the virus in limited amounts, Vought can control formidable Supes like the Homelander and render them powerless.

It was also revealed that the virus uses compound V to achieve its potent effect. As such, it would have no effect on normal humans.

However, Dean Shetty asked Cardosa to increase the amount of the virus to see the consequences. The result of an increased dose was discovered to have the potential to kill the Supe kid. With such a disastrous result, the virus should be used with caution.

Viewers got a glimpse of Dean Shetty's nefarious plans when she asked Dr. Cardosa to try to make the virus contagious just before the credits rolled in. The antagonist and her team are likely to launch the evil plan in Gen V episode 7.
