BamBam's OST 'Melting' tops iTunes charts in almost 13 countries
On March 9, 2022, the K-pop singer dropped the much-anticipated original soundtrack, Melting, for the Korean drama A Business Proposal. Soon after its release, the song soared to the top of iTunes Charts in various countries across the globe.
The original soundtrack reached #1 in 13 different countries, including Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, Costa Rica, Fiji, Finland, Philippines, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and more. It was also ranked among the top 10 on the iTunes song charts in Bulgaria, Estonia, United Arab Emirates, and Greece on March 11, 2022.
The track is not only a first for the soloist, but it is also special in a unique way, as the artist once trained alongside series star Ahn Hyo Seop when the actor was an idol trainee under JYP Entertainment.
The OST Melting is an upbeat, fast-paced track that falls under the R&B genre, fitting perfectly for the sweet and fresh romance story in the K-drama. Additionally, composer ZAYDRO, who has worked with well-known artists like MAMAMOO, The Boyz, and Super Junior, collaborated with BamBam on this song.
A Business Proposal is a rom-com series based on a web novel that was adapted into a webtoon. The series follows an office employee, Ha-ri (played by Kim Se-jeong), who goes on a blind date while hiding her identity in place of her friend Jin Young-seo (played by Seol In-ah) with her company’s CEO Kang Tae-mu (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), and the resulting chaos that follows.
