Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 recently released on May 5, 2023. The film marked the final movie of the trilogy and fans flocked to theaters to watch the much-awaited movie on the big screen. It featured several cameos from popular stars in the industry including Pete Davidson and Sylvester Stallone.

Marvel films often include subtle cameos, which fans look forward to. However, the surprising aspect of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cameos is that many DCEU stars appeared in the movie. From Jennifer Holland to Daniela Melchior, the recently released film was a huge multiverse crossover.

Pete Davidson, Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Holland, and 2 other cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

1) Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson is famously known for being a comedian and an actor. He first made headlines after his high-profile relationship with Ariana Grande. He then became the talk of the town after he dated Kim Kardashian and appeared at the Met Gala with her.

Pete Davidson has been dubbed the king of cameos by many. From his cameo in DC's Suicide Squad to the gore-slasher movie Bodies Bodies Bodies, he has often been seen on the big screen.

He has now made his mark in the MCU with his role as Phlektik in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. During the final showdown, when the guardians are freeing all the genetically engineered children that were created by High Evolutionary, Mantis comes across a cage that holds an amorphous blob-like structure with bionic parts. Pete Davidson voices this blob.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 was not the first time Pete Davidson worked with James Gunn. They have worked together previously in Suicide Squad as well. James Gunneven posted on the official Twitter Movies account that Pete Davidson will be involved in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 as he said:

"With my pal Pete Davidson who showed up one day to hang out and to shoot a cameo (it’s in the movie, but you have to look closely to find him…)”

2) Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone is an actor who needs no introduction. Climbing to fame with Rambo and Rocky, the action star has been ruling the industry with an iron fist. He earlier made an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and received heaps of praise.

He plays Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Yondu's former Ravager mentor. In this movie, he is seen working with Zoe Saldaña's Gamora, and he appears pretty early on in the film. He also appears once at the end of the movie. His appearance is one of the most memorable cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

His role in the film was not a surprise as the trailer of the film featured him as well. However, it was still fun for the audience to watch him in action on the big screen.

3) Nathan Fillion

Most of the actors who made cameo appearances in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 have a long-standing history with James Gunn. Nathan Fillion and Gunn collaborated for the 2006 film Slither, and since then, Fillion has appeared in a number of James Gunn movies.

Nathan Fillion plays the role of Master Karja in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, a guard of the Orgocorp corporation. He is seen berating a sentry calling him a dunce while the guardians break into Orgocrop to get the tech they need to save Rocket and turn off his kill switch. However, the victory is short-lived as Karja soon realizes what is going on and targets them.

This is not the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie Nathan Fillion has been part of. In Guardians of the Galaxy, he voiced the big blue prisoner that the guardians encounter in Kyln's prison.

He was even set to appear in Vol 2 in a much more significant capacity. As per Screen Rant, he was set to play Wonder Man and make his big MCU debut. However, his character and his scenes were cut from the movie.

4) Jennifer Holland

Jennifer Holland and James Gunn are partners in reel and in real life and they have worked with each other in DCEU's The Suicide Squad. The seasoned DCEU actress got married to Gunn in 2022.

Jennifer Holland has appeared in Peacemaker, Black Adam, and Shazam: Fury of the Gods. Much like Fillion, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, she is also in charge of Orgocorp security.

She plays the role of guard Kwol in the film and checks the cameras to see if there are any intruders. In the movie, guardians take a hostage to her, but when she doesn't budge after the guardians' demands, Gamora shoots her in the leg, leaving her suffering in pain.

5) Daniela Melchior

Daniela Melchior's appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 was not a surprise to the audience. Fans knew she was going to appear in some shape or form, however, her minor role left many unsatisfied.

She worked with James Gunn before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. They worked together in The Suicide Squad, and she is set to appear in action movies like Fast X and the Road House remake.

She plays the role of the hostage in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, who the guardians take to Kwol to bargain. She plays the role of Ura and Peter Quill tries to flirt with her before Gamora takes her hostage at gunpoint. However, it is Peter's charismatic personality that makes her agree to help them escape the sentient guards of Orgocorp.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 has taken theatres by storm as it marks the last movie of the franchise. It is truly fun for the audience to see so many of their favorite actors making cameo appearances in the movie, adding to its popularity.
