The Hunger Games is a series of four science fiction movies and is based on Suzanne Collins' three-book series. There are four movies in the series, and they came out between 2012 and 2015. Lionsgate distributed the movies, and Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik produced them.

Harrelson gained recognition for playing Woody Boyd, a bartender, on the NBC sitcom Cheers. His performance earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and he reprised the role in the well-received spinoff series Frasier in 1999, earning another Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
