Gustav Elijah Åhr, more famously known by his stage name Lil Peep, was a Swedish-American rapper, singer, and songwriter and was famous for his emo revival style of rap and rock music.
The rapper was born on November 1, 1996, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After his parents separated in 2012, Peep began suffering from anxiety at the age of 16. As for his mom, he used to self-medicate by consuming Xanax and Marijuana to deal with anxiety. As per the reports toxicology reports by Pima County Medical Examiner, Lil Peep's untimely death resulted from an overdose of Fentanyl and Xanax. The medical examiners also found traces of marijuana, cocaine, Tramadol, and several other powerful opiates.
After the local officials and paramedic struck down any foul play relating to his death and claimed to be an accidental overdose. Before his death, in long series of Instagram posts, Lil Peep had claimed that he had ingested psilocybin mushrooms and cannabis concentrate. In another post, he claimed to have consumed six Xanax and also an unidentified pill. The post was captioned as "When I die, you'll love me."

The management company refuted these claims and called them "groundless" as well as “categorically untrue". They also revealed, "In fact, we consistently encouraged Peep to stop abusing drugs and to distance himself from the negative influence of the drug users and enablers with whom he chose to associate.”
Liza Womack has received an out-of-court settlement for the lawsuit.
