American YouTuber Sam Golbach and his longtime girlfriend, singer and social media influencer Katrina Stuart, have announced their breakup. On May 19, the 26-year-old personality took to his Instagram handle to share a series of screenshot pictures from their latest YouTube video where they announced the big news.
Captioning the carousel, Golbach wrote that even though the two have parted ways, his relationship with Stuart "has been the best years of my life," instead of being sad, he is happy that "it happened."
Sam Golbach then called Katrina "the most amazing girl" he has ever met, and said:
"You’ve changed my life and made me such a better person. I will always cherish what we have had. I will always support you (especially as you become a mega superstar with that amazing voice) and I’ll always love you. & one day I can’t wait to reminisce about all our crazy stories (as friends)."
Responding to the post, Katrina thanked Golbach for "the most amazing years" and added that she would always love him.
As per National Today, Sam and Katrina started dating in 2015, and the duo collaborated on several YouTube videos.
Sam Golbach was not ready to take his relationship with Katrina Stuart to another level
On Katrina Stuart's YouTube, the duo shared a joint video where they discussed their breakup. Sam Golbach began the video by addressing that there is no animosity between them even though they have separated.
"We don't hate each other, nothing went wrong. There was not like a fistfight, and she didn't attack me in my sleep or anything."
Speaking about their relationship, Golbach said they had an "awesome" relationship, while Stuart called it "the best ever."
The duo began crying as Golbach said they moved in together in 2022 and discussed regularly taking their relationship to another level. But, the YouTuber said he realized he was not on the same page as Stuart when it came to taking the next step.
"I wasn't ready, so I decided it'd be better if we separated, split ways because I wasn't ready."
Sam Golbach added that he did not want to waste anyone's time, adding that their separation was difficult. Katrina Stuart revealed that the duo rarely fought and that they were always on the same page but it became difficult to take the next step in their relationship. Golbach said:
"We want to cherish the memories. We want you guys to be happy that it happened, rather than sad that it ended."
He also encouraged their followers to not take any sides and taint their relationship by doing such things.
"We don't want to see each other getting torn down or anything."
