Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik had an 'on-again-off-again' relationship for five years until they finally called it quits in 2021. The two share a daughter, Khai, who was born in September 2020. They share custody of their daughter and co-parent her.
The couple is believed to have parted ways for the final time, due to a rumored dispute Zayn had with Yolanda, Gigi's mom. Following this dispute, Zayn was reportedly hit with four charges of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda, to which he pleaded no contest.

November and December 2015
Gigi Hadid parted ways with Joe Jonas in November 2015, and not long after, rumors began swirling between her and the former One Direction member. They were spotted leaving Justin Bieber's American Music Awards after-party in LA. Days later, on November 29, they were spotted leaving a restaurant while holding hands.
In December, Zayan shared a polaroid photo of him and Gigi on Instagram. In a now-deleted post, the two were seen cuddled together.
January 2016
On January 13, 2016, Gigi Hadid shared an Instagram photo in which she is wearing a "Z" necklace on her way to Paris week.
That same month, Zayn released his debut single as a solo artist, Pillowtalk. The romantic song's music video featured him and the supermodel. Gigi Hadid also posted a photo of Malik holding her kitten Cleo. By the end of January, it was pretty much confirmed that Zayn and Gigi were more than friends.
April 2016
The two are all smiles in Naples for their first-ever couples photoshoot for Vogue. The photoshoot also came with a BTS video that perfectly shows their chemistry.
Gigi's ex Joe Jonas had a few things to say about it though, as he told the Daily Mirror in April 2016:

E! News reported in June 2016 that the two called it quits after having dated for seven months, due to issues in communication. However, a few days later, Gigi Hadid was spotted wearing her "Z" necklace again.

September 2016
Zigi, as they had been dubbed, were photographed at the Versus Versace show during London Fashion Week. They were there to support the younger Hadid sister, Bella.
Throughout September, Zayn and Gigi are seen in Manhattan holding hands and even hanging around with Taylor Swift.
November 2016
Zayn finally opens up about how he met Gigi Hadid. He told ES magazine that the two met at a Victoria's Secret party. He recognized her and asked her out. The two went to Gemma in NYC for their first date, and the rest is history.
Showering praises on his girlfriend, the Rainberry singer said:

For Zayn's birthday, January 12, Gigi Hadid shared an Instagram post with the couple's photos. She wrote:

The two officially call it quits. They issued separate statements announcing the news. Malik wrote:

It appeared that Gigi Hadid had moved on from her last relationship when she was spotted with model and TV personality Tyler Cameron. However, as reported by US Weekly, the two called it quits in October 2019.

It's all smooth sailing for the two, and on Gigi Hadid's 25th birthday, she even gifted fans with the first glimpse of her baby bump. TMZ reported that by then, the supermodel was already 20 weeks along. Entertainment Tonight quoted a source:
"Gigi has kept the secret close to her family and friends for a while as she’s only a few months along. Once Gigi and Zayn got back together at the end of last year, it was like they never skipped a beat and knew what they had was special. The couple and their families are overjoyed."

ZiGi broke the news on September 24, 2020, that they had already welcomed their baby girl, Khai. Gigi Hadid took to Instagram to share the news. She wrote:

It was reported on October 28, 2021, that Zayn and Yolanda got into a heated argument, and things took a violent turn when Zayn struck Yolanda. Zayn maintained that he did not hit or shove his mother-in-law. He told TMZ:
"I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details, and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."
A day after the report came out, the news was confirmed: Gigi and Zayn had parted ways again. People Magazine reported the breakup, and the supermodel's representative told the outlet:
"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."
Zayan faces four charges of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda, to which he pleaded no contest. No contest means that the defendant accepts the punishment but does not admit guilt. Gigi Hadid spoke about co-parenting with her former partner during an interview with the Sunday Times. She said the two just want to keep their child’s happiness at the forefront. Hadid said that she is happy that her daughter gets to be with both parents.

Zayn appears on Call Her Dady podcast, which is his first interview in six years. The English singer said that he and Gigi are happy to co-parent their daughter. He addressed the dispute with Yolanda Hadid and claimed that he wanted to resolve the issue with as little "back and forth" as possible. The Billboard Music Award winning singer asserted that he didn't want to create "any sort of narrative online where my daughter was going to look back and read that."
Gigi Hadid, now 29, has been in a relationship with actor Bradley Cooper since October 2023. Malik, now 31, has been focused on his career. His fourth studio album, Room Under the Stairs, was released on May 17, 2024. It debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart.
L’Officiel reported in March 2024, that Zayn and Gigi are living near each other in rural Pennsylvania. The couple plans to raise Khai in Pennsylvania.
