Colby Brock first shared his cancer diagnosis with followers in February 2023, leaving many concerned. The YouTuber made the revelation about his health in an emotional post, where he shared how he went to the hospital for a checkup and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Back then, he also revealed that he had undergone surgery after the diagnosis.
Now, three months after the initial update, Brock has once again given viewers a major update about his health during his appearance on Dr. Mike Varshavski‘s podcast, The Checkup.
During the podcast, he revealed that his surgery was a success, and the YouTuber is now cancer free. However, as a course of treatment, he is still undergoing chemotherapy as doctors believe that there is a 35% chance of the disease returning.
Colby Brock, born in January 1997, is 26 years old and was born and brought up in Kansas. Having millions of subscribers on YouTube and other social media platforms, the YouTuber has garnered massive support from netizens after he opened up about his cancer treatment.

During the podcast, Colby talked about chemotherapy and how he felt after doctors told him that he had cancer. Recalling how he was diagnosed, he shared how he first felt a bruise-like pain in November 2022. The pain subsequently worsened, prompting him to contact the doctor.
Detailing the experience, he said:
“At this point when it would flair up it was swollen, and there was a pain that was now starting in my lower left pelvis, by my waistband. And there was like this throbbing pain, almost like a cramping pain when I would sit down.”
Furthermore, he talked about how the radiologist he consulted claimed that there was a mass which had a 95% risk of being cancerous. He then went on for surgery at UCLA. The surgery was declared a success, and doctors said that the YouTuber is now cancer free.
However, there is a substantial risk of the cancer returning, and the 26-year-old influencer is now undergoing chemotherapy sessions as a safety measure against the same.
On April 25, 2023, Colby shared with fans that he was starting chemotherapy. In his Instagram post, he deemed the process the "craziest mental challenge of my life."
On the podcast, Colby asked Dr. Mike whether or not he should continue to undergo chemotherapy as a preventive measure against the recurrence of his cancer. While he understood the potential benefits of chemotherapy, he was apprehensive about its side effects, particularly those related to infertility and hair loss.
