Who is Angrboda?
Angrboda is a Jotunn, one of the few remaining members of the giant race. She's been living in the Ironwood, The Forest of the Giants, where she's guarded her mother's future mosaics. She's also the granddaughter of Gryla, another giant Atreus will meet along the way.
She's been anticipating the arrival of Atreus, or Loki, based on her mother's prophecies of the future. Atreus does this shortly after the first quest in God of War and when he does, she fulfills her role by showing him the remainder of the mosaic Atreus discovered at the end of God of War (2018). Furthermore, she also handed on the marbles her father constructed. These aren't ordinary marbles; they hold the sleeping spirits of the last of the giants.
Angrboda is Loki's partner and the mother of three monsters in Norse mythology: the wolf Fenrir, the Midgard snake Jörmungandr, and the leader of the dead Hel.
How old is Angrboda in God of War Ragnarok?
While everyone knows how old Atreus is, Angrboda's age is never revealed in God of War Ragnarok. She appears to be around the same age as Atreus, who is thought to be around 14 or 15 years old, or very near to that age. She's a touch bigger and seems a bit more mature than Kratos' son, but girls mature faster than boys at that age, so she'd still be around the same age as Atreus.
