When Block sold his ownership of DC Shoes, he shifted his focus to Hoonigan Industries, an apparel brand for auto enthusiasts. He was the head hoonigan in charge of the company before his death. In April of that year, Block stated that he was returning to Subaru. In September, Block declared that he was collaborating with Audi to develop electric cars.
