Don’t Forget the Lyrics! is set to return with another season on Fox. The upcoming installment will feature more contestants as they attempt to sing along to some of their favorite songs in order to win a bucket load of cash.
Set to appear on the show as the host, is Niecy Nash, the 53-year-old actor, director, producer, and comedian. She was the host of season 1 as well and is set to return to guide contestants to musical glory and to a grand prize of $1 million.

Don’t Forget the Lyrics! season 2 host Niecy Nash featured in Dancing with the Stars
The American comedian, actress, producer, and director Niecy Nash is set to return to the Fox show to resume her hosting duties. Niecy was born in Palmdale, California on February 23, 1970, and has been seen on various shows during the course of her career.
The actor is a spokesperson for M.A.V.I.S (Mothers Against Violence in Schools), which was created by her mother after the passing of Nash's brother, Michael. The Don’t Forget The Lyrics! season 2 host is a graduate of California State University in Dominguez Hills.
Nash has featured in a number of movies and shows including Reno 911, That’s So Raven, The Bernie Mac Show, Clean House, NYPD Blue, Reba, Judging Amy, Girlfriend, ER, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and City of Angels. She also appeared in The Soul Man, Getting On, Dancing with the Stars, Leave it to Niecy, Code Name: The Cleaner, Not Easily Broken, G-Force, Trust Me, and Netflix's Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
The Don’t Forget the Lyrics! season 2 host has been married three times. She was previously married to Jay Tucker with whom she shares three children. The two got married in 2011 and were together till 2020. Before that, she was married to Don Nash, the two were together from 1994 to 2007.
She is currently married to Jessica Betts, and the two tied the knot in 2020. The duo was the first gay couple to feature on the cover of Essence and appeared on the Tamron Hall Show in 2022. On the show, Niecy opened up about her new show Don’t Forget the Lyrics! and about being married.
During the interview, Niecy stated how much she likes her name, which is Niecy Nash-Betts, and added:
"People ask me 'You go by Betts now?' That’s my name.”
The two further opened up about expanding their family earlier in 2022, two years after their wedding as they adopted a puppy named Michael J Betts. The Don’t Forget the Lyrics! season 2 host added that that's her "baby boy."
She is now set to return to the screen with the Fox sing-along show that is scheduled to air next week. The singing competition is produced by Apploff Entertainment, Bumin and Murray Productions, and Biggerstage.
