Miles Alexander Teller, the son of Mike Teller, a nuclear power plant engineer, and Merry Flowers, a real estate agent, has two sisters, Erin and Dana Teller. His mom and dad come from Carneys Point, New Jersey. Teller’s paternal grandfather was of Russian Jewish origin, whereas his other forefathers were English, Irish, Polish and French. Teller lived in various places throughout his childhood because of his father's career, spending time in Citrus County, Florida, having moved from Cape May, New Jersey.

Miles Teller is an American actor who is best known for movies like 'Whiplash', 'The Spectacular Now', '21 & Over', 'Fantastic Four', and 'Project X'. Followed by his hit in the form of Top Gun: Maverick, Teller released Spiderhead in 2022. Teller graduated from Lecanto High School in 2005, where his love for music started. He played saxophone in a rock band, then played the drum for a group of young people from the church, and was also president of the theatre club. He said that his high school drama teacher, Beth Bedee, was his initial inspiration for his acting career, although he admitted that if she weren’t attractive and he didn’t want to impress her, he wouldn’t have taken her class or learned acting. Later he studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and screen acting at Stonestreet Studios. He obtained his BFA in drama in 2009, and between 2004 and 2010, Teller performed in numerous short films. He made his debut in a major film a year after graduating from the School of the Arts at New York University. In 2010, he collaborated with Nicole Kidman on a film called Rabbit Hole. However, 'Whiplash', an Academy Award-winning drama in 2014, saw Teller make his breakthrough.
