In terms of the name of the character and their similar on-screen performances, it is safe to say that the Korean version is heavily inspired by the original version but they both aren't exactly identical.

The difference starts when it comes to the plot. While the Spanish series revolves around the social-economic crisis and growing worries of youth in Spain.

Whereas the Korean version is based more on the complicated and politically conflicted situation. The series sees the two Koreas (North and South) almost about to be unified while the biggest heist was planned to detail the efforts.

Unlike the super hit Spanish series, the Korean version focused more on the complex Korean political system and how the unification of North Korea and South Korea would make the rich, richer, and the poor poorer.

The series follows the storyline and characters of the original Spanish series. The Professor, a criminal mastermind, recruits a group of eight people and plans a massive heist in the reunified Korean Peninsula. They plan to steal 4 trillion won from the Royal Mint which is situated in a fictional city, the Joint Economic Area.
