50 Cent took another jibe at Sean “Diddy” Combs amid the recent lawsuit against Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, took to his Instagram on December 11 and shared a collage of Diddy with his former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.
“J-Lo, nah. I want nothing to do with this!” Cent wrote in the caption.
Trigger warning: This article mentions s*xual assault. Discretion is advised.
The image appeared to have been taken from a website (mol.im) and had the headline, “Jennifer Lopez dragged into Jay-Z’s alleged r*pe scandal.”
50 Cent’s post came in the wake of a December 8 lawsuit that accused Jay-Z of allegedly drugging and r*ping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV VMAs afterparty in New York City in 2000 alongside the already accused Diddy.
An unnamed female celebrity reportedly watched the alleged incident.
Meanwhile, the collage shared by Curtis Jackson featuring Diddy and J-Lo seemingly having a heated discussion outside a venue, was allegedly traced back to the night in concern when the alleged crime occurred.
The recently unearthed images were exclusively obtained by Daily Mail before they went viral.
During an interview with Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, 50 Cent claimed that Jennifer Lopez was the one who convinced Diddy to work with him back in the day. At the time he also shared how reluctant he was to take up on the offer and was reportedly rebuked by the mother of his child.
Exploring further Jay-Z and Diddy’s responses to their lawsuit amid 50 Cent’s J-Lo post
Texas attorney Tony Buzbee filed multiple lawsuits against Diddy on October 20 at the New York federal court under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
One of them accused Combs of allegedly drugging and s*xually assaulting a teenager along with a male celebrity while a female A-lister witnessed the same.
The alleged victim has chosen to remain anonymous and has been identified as Jane Doe, now aged 37.
On December 8, the civil suit was refiled and Jay-Z was named as Diddy’s co-defendant and the previously unidentified male celebrity. So far, the female A-lister has not been named and there is no suggestion in the court documents as to who she might be.
However, pictures of Jennifer Lopez having a verbal confrontation with Diddy reportedly from the same night have now surfaced. As per Daily Mail, it was at the now-defunct Lotus Club in NYC on September 7, 2000, where the VMAs afterparty was being hosted by the Bad Boy Records mogul.
Apart from J-Lo, the images also feature her sister Lynda and show both of them walking away from Diddy after the alleged altercation. For those unaware, Diddy and J-Lo dated each other between 1999 and 2001.
The Marry Me star has kept her distance from the Diddy/ Jay-Z scandal and has been busy finalizing her divorce from her fourth husband Ben Affleck.
Meanwhile, Combs’ lawyers have denied the allegations in the lawsuit on behalf of their client calling the lawsuit a “clear attempt to garner publicity.”
They also reiterated that Combs has “never s*xually assaulted anyone – adult or minor, man or woman.”
Notably, Diddy is currently incarcerated on multiple federal felony charges including racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He is being held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial on May 5, 2025.
Jay-Z, on the other hand, issued an immediate response via his company Roc Nation, after he was named in Sunday’s lawsuit. He refuted the accusations and called it a “blackmail attempt” by Tony Buzbee amid his refusal to “settle” outside court.
“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!” Jay shared.
The 55-year-old challenged the plaintiff’s attorney to file a “criminal” case rather than a civil one, adding that whoever would “commit” such crimes against a “minor” should be “locked away.” He mentioned all “alleged victims” would “deserve real justice if that were the case.”
Jay-Z further expressed his “heartbreak” for his family, including his wife Beyonce, and three children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir, sharing that such allegations would have a permanent impact on them.
He extended his support for “true victims” of the world and criticized the likes of Tony Buzbee for trying to make profits at their cost. Carter warned the Buzbee for his “terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same.”
Jay-Z shared that he was from a “world” where they didn’t “play” such “games” and had “strict codes and honor,” of protecting children rather than exploiting them for “personal gain.”
“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable. I look forward to showing you just how different I am,” he concluded.
50 Cent has taken multiple jibes at Jay-Z in wake of his latest lawsuit
50 Cent has been a longtime critic of Diddy even before the latter’s legal troubles began in late 2023. Now, amid the incoming allegations against Jay-Z, the G-Unity founder has also begun mocking the Roc Nation boss.
For instance, on December 10, in a now-deleted post, 50 Cent shared a deepfake video on Instagram showing Jay-Z and Diddy getting arrested, with the caption:
“I want to post this but I’m afraid I’m gonna get shot. LOL.”
Likewise, another now-removed Instagram post showed 50 ridiculing Jay and his family for attending the December 9 Mufasa premiere in Hollywood. Sharing a picture of Beyonce, her mother Tina Knowles, Jay-Z, and their daughter Blue Ivy on the red carpet, 50 Cent captioned:
“Jay said they said I rapped a kid, everybody get dressed we going to see Mufasa LOL.”
Before this, the Queens rapper shared a popular meme featuring himself driving away in a car and wrote,
“Ok I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl? I’m just asking for a friend.”
Subsequently, he explained that he was "asking for Kendrick," implying the Not Like Us hitmaker is the "friend" in question.
This too was a dig at Jay-Z whose Roc Nation oversees the entertainment department of the NFL. They recently named Kendrick Lamar as the headliner of the Superbowl 2025 halftime show in New Orleans in February.
Furthermore, during a December 9 appearance on Big Boy’s podcast, 50 Cent also shared his concern for Jay-Z hoping “things are all right for him internally.”
However, he pointed out that the “allegation” itself is damaging enough while predicting the NFL might consider cutting ties with Jay amid his legal issues.
