A civil lawsuit originally filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs in October has now named Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, as the co-defendant. Refiled on December 8, the suit has accused the Roc Nation founder of allegedly r*ping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with Diddy, reportedly at an MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) afterparty.

In the wake of this allegation, the internet has united in pointing out that singer-songwriter Jaguar Wright, a former associate of both Jay-Z and Diddy, had previously claimed the latter of being “worse than Diddy” and referred to them both as “monsters.”

During an October interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Jaguar claimed that both Jay-Z and Beyonce were involved in alleged abuse of people.

“I have three victims right now who are willing to give testimony on not only what Mr. Carter has done to them, but his wife as well. They’re a nasty little couple. They do nasty things… Keeping people against their will! Putting people on planes, while they’re unconscious, just like Aaliyah got on that plane, unconscious. There is a lot that people don’t want to talk about,” she alleged.

In several past and follow-up interviews and podcasts, Wright doubled down on her claims about Carter and even mentioned how the music magnate should be “charged” for the same crimes as Combs.

Amid this, an X user replied to Pop Base’s post on the same by sharing one such Jaguar Wright clip accusing Jay-Z.

Many people joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on the platform.

“Jaguar Wright has been telling us about Jay-Z for ages. No one listened to her… she ends up being right EVERY. SINGLE. TIME,” a person wrote.
“Bring back Jaguar Wright and the ‘I got 5 on it’ scary movie remix beat… Jay-Z exposed…” one person wrote.
“I’m honestly shocked how accurate Jaguar Wright and Belle Sloan have about Diddy and Jay-Z,” wrote another.

Others continued to weigh in.

“Jaguar Wright has always spoken the truth about Jay-Z. After her interview, they sent a cease-and-desist letter to Piers Morgan, but not to her. Quite Interesting,” a netizen wrote.
“Everyone owes Jaguar Wright an apology for silencing her voice about JAY Z FREEDOM>MONEY,” another netizen wrote.
“NBC: Jay-Z been named in a lawsuit… Me: So, Jaguar was Wright?” a user wrote.
“SHE WAS ALWAYS RIGHT!” wrote another.

Jay-Z and Beyonce sent a cease-and-desist to Piers Morgan after his interview with Jaguar Wright went viral. At the time, Morgan had apologized for the same.

Exploring Jay-Z’s response to the recent lawsuit

Immediately after Jay-Z was named in the civil lawsuit, he issued a response on Sunday afternoon. The 55-year-old began by saying how his lawyer received a “blackmail attempt” in the form of a demand letter from Texas attorney Tony Buzbee a few weeks back.

Shawn Carter explained that Buzbee “calculated” that the “nature” of the accusations, alongside the “public scrutiny” would make him want to “settle.”

“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!” he shared.

HOV further noted that whoever would “commit” such crimes against a “minor” should be “locked away” and all “alleged victims” would “deserve real justice if that were the case.”

“This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics! I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type,” he added.

Carter continued to shame Buzbee for being a marine but not living up to the “valor” such men were known for, mentioning how the plaintiff’s lawyer had neither “honor” nor “dignity.” He expressed his “heartbreak” for his family, including his wife and kids, and how such allegations would impact them.

The former Def Jam Recordings CEO extended his support for “true victims” of the world, and called out the likes of Tony Buzbee for trying to make profits at their cost. Carter warned the Buzbee for his “terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same.”

HOV shared that he was from a “world” where they didn’t “play” such “games” and had “strict codes and honor,” of protecting children rather than exploiting them for “personal gain.”

“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable. I look forward to showing you just how different I am,” he concluded.

Amid his lengthy response, Tony Buzbee took to his social media and claimed that neither he nor his firm “demanded a penny” on behalf of the plaintiff. Instead, all the alleged victim reportedly wanted was a “confidential mediation.”

He further alleged that Jay-Z had “sued” him and his firm back in a “frivolous case” under a “pseudonym,” and has purportedly attempted to “bully and harass” them as well as the plaintiff.

However, Buzbee claimed that this had an “opposite impact” and the alleged victim was now “emboldened,” adding, he was “very proud of her resolve.”

Diddy, who’s currently facing charges of s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution, among others, was first accused of drugging and r*ping the 13-year-old girl in 2000 in an October 20 lawsuit filed in a New York Federal Court.

As per the civil suit which was filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, Diddy allegedly s*xually assaulted the teen at an afterparty he was hosting along with another male celebrity, while a female celebrity watched the alleged incident.

Now, the other male celebrity has been alleged as Jay-Z. However, the identity of the latter continues to remain undisclosed. The plaintiff remained anonymous and was identified as Jane Doe, now aged 37.
