Kanye West's ex-chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, took to X on January 6, 2025, to share that he is entering "month two of pneumonia" and asked people to pray for him. Milo informed his followers he had double pneumonia and added that he was on steroids and his third round of antibiotics.
He said the treatment has cost him thousands of dollars to stay alive, stating that "the communists are right about healthcare f*ck you." In another tweet on the same day, Kanye's ex-chief of staff seemingly made a sarcastic remark stating that he did everything right and that:
"I kept drinking / Smoked half a pack a day / And somehow the pneumonia got worse and went into both lungs."
Moreover, Milo responded to people who asked him to reduce or stop smoking by asking them not to be ridiculous and questioning if they were "stark mad." X user @taraji_bsw questioned Milo Yiannopoulos, asking if his condition might be antibiotic-resistant pneumonia, adding that Milo should have someone give him a Vitamin C IV.
Responding to the X user, Milo said, "Vitamins are a psyop," alleging that vitamins are part of the psychological military operations that target the emotions, behaviors, and thoughts of a particular group.
What is double pneumonia? Milo Yiannopoulos' health condition explored
In two tweets dated January 6, 2025, Milo Yiannopoulos mentioned he has double pneumonia and that the pneumonia has entered both his lungs. According to Healthline, double pneumonia is a lung infection affecting both lungs. The infection causes an inflammation of the air sacs or the alveoli in the lungs, resulting in them getting filled with pus or fluid. Additionally, the infection and inflammation make it difficult to breathe.
The website mentions that pneumonia can be bifurcated by the number of segments of the lobes in the lungs that are infected. The more segments get infected in one or both lungs, the more likely the disease is serious. The symptoms of double pneumonia are the same as those of pneumonia in a single lung.
A lung specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Wayne Tsuang, stated that getting pneumonia in either one or both lungs is a matter prominently of chance, wherein the infection is either bacterial, fungal, or viral. Double pneumonia doesn't entail double seriousness or severity, meaning one can have a serious or mild infection in both lungs.
Symptoms of pneumonia differ based on general health, age, and the type of infection a person is affected with. The symptoms of this infection include chest pain, congestion, fatigue, fever, chills, sweating, shortness of breath, and coughing with the possibility of phlegm, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, rapid breathing, and heart rate.
In addition to informing his followers about his health condition, Milo Yiannopoulos also indulged in banter with a few concerned X users. One X user, @LordVeggie, expressed concern and suggested that Milo should go to the hospital as oxygen capacity below 90 can cause brain and organ damage.
Responding to the X user with humor, Milo Yiannopoulos quipped that the X user needn't worry since he already has brain damage.
