Born Carolina Giraldo Navarro, Karol G is an influential and popular reggaeton and urban pop artist who has touched the lives of many people across the globe with her music. In the upcoming Karol G Netflix documentary, fans will get a close look at the life and work of the artist and her journey so far as a female musician from Colombia.

On December 30, 2024, the singer posted two pictures from her Instagram account, showing the Spanish and English versions of a letter, which reads:

“A story born from dreams that seemed impossible, fuelled by unwavering faith. A relentless journey that defied all odds.”

The letter goes on thus:

“My life, my work, my truth and the powerful connection I share with you all. My dream came true.”

The bottom of the letter has ‘Netflix’ written on it, with the singer’s signature beside it. Further, she captioned the post with ‘2025,’ followed by two heart emojis. This post has left fans wondering if a Karol G Netflix documentary is coming in 2025.

The documentary is happening after all. Rolling Stone published a report on December 30, 2024, that carries Netflix’s statement, describing the upcoming documentary as “an intimate portrait of a global music icon” that seeks to bring out ‘the woman behind the artist.’

While it is not yet known when exactly in 2025 the documentary will be released or what its title will be, it is certain that the Karol G Netflix documentary is set to be directed and produced by Cristina Costantini.

The Emmy Award-winning director Cristina Costantini previously produced Netflix’s documentary on astrologer Walter Mercado. Additional producers for the Karol G Netflix documentary include This Machine in association with Interscope Films and Bichota Films.

More popularity came her way following Tusa, and in 2020, Karol G received four nominations at the Latin Grammy Awards. She made history in 2023 with her fourth album, Mañana Será Bonito, as it became the first-ever Spanish-language album by a female artist to debut at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. In early 2024, she earned her first Grammy Award.
