"King of bad music": Netizens react to Bad Bunny supposedly dissing J Balvin in 'Thunder Y Lightning' while the latter addresses the name-drop 

Bad Bunny has made his way into the headlines after he allegedly mentioned J Balvin’s name in his song, Thunder Y Lightning. In the song, Bad Bunny raps:

“You guys have seen me with the same people while you all are friends with the whole world like Balvin.”

The line shocked the world, as the two, Bad Bunny and J Balvin, were considered good friends by many, and the two had even collaborated on an album, Oasis, in 2019. As soon as the news became viral and started floating on social media, many on the internet started talking about how Bad Bunny allegedly dissed J Balvin in his track.

However, the viral news also reached J Balvin, who addressed the matter on Instagram Live on October 13, 2023, and stated that he was confused as to what the lines meant. He talked about how he considers Bad Bunny to be an “excellent artist and great person.”

“I think he’s an excellent artist. The person I know is a great person. We supported each other mutually, we made history, we also created a new story within music. I don’t understand what was going through his head but well, the guy I know is a good person,” he said.

The track Thunder Y Lightning was included on Bad Bunny's new album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, which was released on October 13, 2023. The songs on the album have already topped many charts and have received millions of likes, comments, and views on various social media platforms.
