During The Kardashians season 4 episode 4, Khloe and Kris Jenner discussed Tristan Thompson's cheating scandal while dating Khloe. Tristan lives in the same house as Khloe.
When asked about her dating life and what the situation with Tristan is, Khloe said that she wants to focus on herself and is not ready to get back together with Tristan.
Further into the conversation, Khloe even asked Kris Jenner about her position when she cheated on Robert Kardashian. The episode ended after this, but Kris spoke briefly in episode 5, which aired on October 26, 2023, about the affair and the regret she has as a result of it.
The following information was revealed by Kris Jenner during this conversation with Khloe:
"You have four kids and your whole family, this whole thing. I think being really young and dumb is something that plays into it because you don't really understand the consequences of your actions."
As a result, Khloe asked Kris about her reasoning behind cheating on Robert, to which Kris replied by mentioning the reason and how she and Robert formed a really good connection after the divorce:
"(Robert) was such a great husband and such a great dad and I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else. And I made a huge mistake. That's like my life's biggest regret. You know, I'm not proud of the way that I behaved during that time, but you know what? Everything happens for a reason..And without that whole thing happening, there never would have been Kendall and Kylie."
In addition to her regret for the actions she took at that time, Kris affirmed her belief that whatever happens, it happens for the betterment of the future.
Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian got divorced due to Kris's affair with Todd
In 1978, Kris Jenner married Robert Kardashian and they went on to have three children together: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert Jr. After 13 years of marriage, Kris and Robert decided to end their marriage and separate in March 1991.
The reason for this was Kris Jenner's affair with Todd Waterman while she was married to Robert. After finding out about this affair, Robert made the decision to split.
Afterward, Todd even shared insights about the affair back in 2012, as he shared the following at the time:
"I was attracted to Kris. I’m sure we danced and had a good time in the club. We came back to her friend’s home in Beverly Hills. And our first time was in her friend’s closet. We found a little place in the house and consummated the relationship. It was a magical night, surreal. In 1991, Kris Jenner married Bruce Jenner, who is now known as Caitlyn Jenner. Kendall and Kylie are Kris' daughters from her relationship with Caitlyn. The couple announced their separation in October 2013.
