Joel Daniel Coen and Ethan Jesse Coen, aka the Coen brothers, wrote, produced, and directed the 2018 American Western anthology movie “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.” It has six short stories that are set in the Wild West.

Its cast consists of Tim Blake Nelson, Tyne Daly, James Franco, Brendan Gleeson, Bill Heck, Grainger Hines, Zoe Kazan, Harry Melling, Liam Neeson, Jonjo O'Neill, Chelcie Ross, Saul Rubinek, and Tom Waits.

On August 31, 2018, the movie had its world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival, where it received the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay. On November 16, 2018, it was made available on Netflix after a brief theatrical run from November 9, 2018.

The National Board of Review ranked it as one of the top ten movies of 2018. The movie received three nominations for the 91st Academy Awards - for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, and Best Original Song ("When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings").

A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014)

“A Walk Among the Tombstones” is a 2014 American neo-noir action thriller movie that Scott Frank wrote, directed, and adapted from Lawrence Block's 1992 book of the same name.

The movie premiered on September 19, 2014, and made $62 million worldwide. It received varying reviews from critics.

The story centers on Liam Neeson's character, Matt Scudder, a former NYPD investigator and sober man who is recruited by a drug dealer to uncover the people responsible for his wife's abduction. Skudder declines. However, the man later visits him and describes how his wife was murdered.

Scudder agrees to work. After doing some research, he believes that the individuals he is searching for have pulled this off more than once and that everyone they seized is associated with a drug dealer. When they take another girl, just as he is about to give up, Scudder makes one last effort to ensure her safe return.

Non-Stop (2014)

“Non-Stop” is a 2014 action thriller film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, starring Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Liam Neeson plays an alcoholic former NYPD detective who has been appointed a Federal Air Marshal and is tasked with catching a murderer on a plane from New York to London after receiving messages stating that until a set of conditions are met, a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes.

The movie, which was released in the US on February 28, 2014, was a box office success, earning $222 million against its $50 million budget. The reviews from critics were mainly divided, though.
