Love Island Australia season 4 created quite a stir when it debuted on October 31, 2022, with unmarried couples facing a variety of obstacles, drama, and controversy. Austen Bugeja and Claudia Bonifazio took home the season's award, and their Instagram feed attests to the longevity of their romance.

Love Island Australia now returns with a brand new season that will double the entertainment and drama. Season 5 of the show will premiere on 9Now on Monday, October 30. The show announced the season 5 debut date on social media, mentioning:

“We’re back in Spain with our spiciest twist ever! #LoveIslandAU | Coming soon to @9Now.”

Apart from this, the participants' bios on the network's website provide the following details:

"There's a variety of singles looking for love, including one who was once romantically linked with a Season 4 star and another who appeared on Married At First Sight.”

This season of Love Island Australia will feature a total of ten contestants taking steps toward finding their soulmate.

Among the contestants of the fifth season of Love Island Australia are Ben Richardson, Savannah Badger, Ollie Lawson, Tia Gregory, Trent Woolman, Nakia Pires, Zac Nunns, Tyra Johannes, Nate Page, and Kirra Schofield.

The trailer for the upcoming season, which included the candidates' introductions and what they were looking forward to, was released on October 17. The following is how the show is described in the trailer:

"Sophie will play Cupid as she takes a group of beautiful young Aussie singles to find love in the sun. Love Island Australia – which was one of the most-talked-about shows last year – sees a group of sexy singles coupling up in a luxury villa in search of the ultimate holiday of lust, romance and love.”

In addition, it mentions:

“Not only must the Love Island couples stay together, they must also survive the temptations as beautiful new singles enter the island. The winning couple is handed a pot of money to start their new lives together, but there's a catch: one is given the chance to share the money or walk away with it all for them self. Were they after love or money all along? Love Island Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia for Nine.”

According to the format of the show, season 5 is filmed in Mallorca, Spain, and the contestants will “Couple Up, stay together, and win over the hearts of the public.”


Meet the host: Sophie Monk

In this season, Sophie Monk will serve as host and mentor for the contestants. Sophie Monk is an actress and singer as well as a model and television personality.

Throughout her career, she has appeared on many television shows, including Popstars Australia, The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, The Masked Singer Australia, At Home Alone Together, Beauty and the Geek Australia, RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and many others.

She has also appeared in a number of films, including National Lampoon's 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus, The Hills Run Red, Spring Breakdown, Life Blood, Hard Breakers, Spring Break '83, Zombie Plane, Bloodfeast, and many more.
