Masters of Illusion season 10 is slated to hit The CW this Friday, October 27. As per reports, the airtime for the same is 9:00–9:30 p.m. EST. Previously, the TV show used to be broadcast on the network on Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m., but recent media updates suggest a change in release day and timing.
Meanwhile, the titles of the first four episodes of Masters of Illusion season 10 have been revealed. Also, since it is a magic show, all the episodes will feature different experts in the field.
Hosted by Dean Cain, Masters of Illusion was revived by The CW in season 4, which became its first season. The earlier three editions were broadcast on Pax TV, MyNetworkTV, and Syndication, respectively.
The episode count of Masters of Illusion season 10 is not official yet
Masters of Illusion was first aired on October 2, 2000, with Pax TV serving as the host network. Season 1 wrapped up with 13 episodes. The number of episodes remained the same for the next season, but the host network changed.
Season 2 ran from January 5, 2009, to May 18, 2009, on MyNetworkTV, and a third season, comprising merely four episodes, was run on syndication in 2012. Two years later, The CW took over the stage magic show, with season 4 (or season 1 for the channel) running from August 1, 2014, until February 6, 2015.
On average, Masters of Illusion boasted a count of 13–18 episodes, so it is expected that season 10 will also have the same number. Notably, nothing has been confirmed on that front till now.
As per Rotten Tomatoes, the names of the first four episodes of Masters of Illusion season 10 are:
- Knives Out and Other Strange Magic
- Giant Drill, Magic on the Edge, Floating Objects
- Trial by Fire, Quick Change, and the Uncanny
- Real, Tech, and the Triple Threat
While Knives Out and Other Strange Magic will air on October 27, the next two will be released on November 3 and November 10. The release details of Real, Tech, and the Triple Threat are not known yet.
The first episode of Masters of Illusion season 10 will see magicians Ed Alonzo, Deadly Game, Lucy Darling, Joshua Jay, Lioz, and Caleb Alexander, while in the second, Alexandra Duvivier, Reza, Maxence Vire, Andi Gladwin, and Jaana Felicitas are lined up.
Adam Wylie, Ed Alonzo, Joel Ward, Mat O'Neill, My Uyen, and Wayne Hoffman will entertain viewers in Trial by Fire, Quick Change, and the Uncanny. Meanwhile, in the fourth episode, magicians Deadly Games, Alex Ramone, Shoot Ogawa, Trigg Watson, Topas, and Chipper Lowell are included in the roster.
As per TV Guide, all episodes of Masters of Illusion season 10 will be of 30-minute duration. The Futon Critic states that in every episode of the TV show, the studio audience will witness amazing tricks done by "cutting-edge illusionists and escape artists." "Perplexing interactive mind magic to hilarious comedy routines" is also on the radar for this season, according to the portal.
Since there is no announcement regarding the host, it is assumed Dean Cain has been retained for the job. The Michigan native is best known for performing as Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Previously, he hosted Ripley's Believe It or Not!
