Directed by Ben Wheatley, Meg 2: The Trench has been creating a buzz online after the release of its official trailer. After all, a megalodon in a face-off with its prehistoric cousin, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, is something that the audience doesn't see very often.
Jason Statham is back as Jonas Taylor, who is a professional underwater rescuer and shark hunter. He will be joined by Cliff Curtis, Wu Jing, Shuya Sophia Cai, Page Kennedy, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Skyler Samuels, and more.
Meg 2: The Trench is the sequel to the popular shark movie released in 2018, The Meg, which was a big hit at the box office. As evident in the trailer, the terrifying megs are back, and this time they are hunting in packs. The whole beach is at risk but Taylor is better prepared, thanks to The Meg. Keeping in tune with the vibe of shark films, the viewers can expect exciting fight scenes and brutal shark attacks.
As the movie will be available in 3D, the audience will really be able to get close up to the gigantic megalodon and immerse themselves in the adrenaline-pumping action sequences.
