Hollywood couple Jason Ritter and Melanie Lynskey have never failed at being a couple of goals for their fans. The two fell in love on the sets of The Big Ask in 2013 and have been inseparable since then. Ritter and Lynskey have been happily married to each other since 2020 and they also have a daughter that they welcomed in 2018.

Ritter and Lynskey have also been supportive of each other and never shy away from being vocal about their love in the media. Recently when Lynskey earned an Emmy nomination for starring in Showtime's hit show Yellowjackets, Ritter made sure to celebrate his dear wife and her win with the fans on Twitter.

2013: Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter met each other on the sets of The Big Ask

The new power couple first met each other on the sets of The Big Ask. It was the first time the two worked with each other on a project. The film was released back in 2013, and according to reports, the two fell head over heels for each other and began dating each other a while later.

2014: Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter work once again together on another project

Ritter and Lynskey joined forces once again for We'll Never Have Paris. The film was a romantic comedy. However, for the unversed, in the film, the two didn't play each other's love interest but it was a bang opposite role. They played each other's siblings in the film.

March 2014: Jason Ritter and Melanie Lynskey made their first red carpet debut

Lynskey and Ritter appeared together on the red carpet in January 2015 at the premiere of HBO's Togetherness, in which Lynskey starred. It was their debut as a couple on the red carpet.

The 2016 released film, The Intervention, marked the third time Ritter and Lynskey worked together. This time they were paired as a couple.

2017: Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter get engaged

On February 16, 2017, Lynskey announced that she and Ritter were engaged during an appearance on Hollywood Today Live. "Now he's my fiancé," she said during the interview. "Yes, I know, I'm announcing it." They finally got engaged after dating each other for four years.

2018: Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter welcome their first child together

Just a year after their engagement, the two love birds welcomed their first child in December 2018. However, the birth of their daughter wasn't announced until the following month. Lynskey had taken it on Twitter and announced to her fans that she and Ritter had welcomed a daughter.

Lynskey tweeted, "We feel lucky to have been able to have our news just be for friends and family for a while, but I guess the story got out, so! Yes! @JasonRitter and I had a daughter in December." She added, "We love her so much; she's perfect. Thanks to everyone for your sweet messages."

2020: Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter finally tie the knot

Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter finally got married to each other in 2020. The Yellowjackets star revealed this during an interview with SiriusXM's Jess Cagle in May 2022. She revealed that they got married in a small intimate wedding at their home right before they were leaving to go work on Yellowjackets in Canada. "Honestly, I got married because someone was like, 'Jason won't get into Canada unless you're married,' which just wasn't true. We were waiting until like after the [pandemic]," Lynskey explained.

She continued, "I was going to Canada for Yellowjackets, and I was on the phone with somebody, and they said, 'Oh, he won't be allowed in.' And I was like, 'We have a child. What? I can't leave for six months.' So, I was like, 'We have to get married tomorrow.' "

Lynskey explained details about their small wedding affair, she said, "We got married on our front porch of our little rental house in Atlanta. A nice lady came and married us. We had two friends there. Ali Ahn and William Jackson Harper … They brought a cake and flowers and everything we needed. It was actually a very fun wedding day, but it didn't need to happen. He could totally have gotten into Canada."
