Michael Bibi announces One Life World Tour 2024 post cancer recovery: All we know so far

Michael Bibi was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, CNS Lymphoma, sometime in June 2023. The record producer managed to overcome the cancer back in December 2023, after seven months of the battle against the malignant form of cancer.

Now, the DJ has announced a tour in celebration of his triumph over the disease, titled One Life World Tour. The tour, which will take place sometime in 2024, was announced via a post on the official Instagram account of the record producer and singer:

The One Life tour was announced with a teaser featuring a colorful butterfly, which is considered to be a sign of rejuvenation and new life in several cultures in the West.

While further details have not been revealed as of yet, it has been confirmed that a portion of revenues from the upcoming tour will be donated to cancer charities, including the cancer trust of the hospital where the singer received his treatment, the Foundation Trust of The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Michael Bibi's return to touring in 2024 will be his first foray into music after the diagnosis of his cancer in 2023. During the course of his treatment, the singer canceled all public appearances.


More about Michael Bibi's struggles against CNS Lymphoma

Michael Bibi contracted CNS Lymphoma in June 2023. As the name suggests, this particular type of lymphoma cancer is associated with the Central Nervous System of the body, which consists of the brain and the spine.

According to the National Cancer Institute, CNS Lymphoma constitutes of the following characteristics:

"Primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the lymph tissue of the brain and/or spinal cord. Having a weakened immune system may increase the risk of developing primary CNS lymphoma. Signs and symptoms of primary CNS lymphoma may include nausea, vomiting or seizures."

The singer announced his cancer struggles in a post on his official Instagram page on June 5, 2023, stating:

"Hello world, writing this post is a hard one.. last week I was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma. A very rare cancer that effects the brain & spine...Typing this message doesn’t quite seem real & I’m sorry for the bad news. I don’t know what lies ahead, I’m tired but I know I am strong & I won’t let this beat me."

The singer had several rounds of treatment, which resulted in the successful remission of this rare form of cancer. He announced the positive results in another Instagram post on December 5, 2023, stating:

"CANCER FREE! After 6months of fighting I leave hospital officially in remission with no cancer in my boy. 😁To every person that sent me the support, energy & strength to fight I thankyou from the bottom of my heart & to the staff @royalmarsden for literally saving my life I will forever be in your debt. Thankyou so much.."

Michael Bibi is best known for his live performances, including the performance at the mega-club Space during Miami Music Week 2022, as well as his residency at Soul Groves at the DC 10 nightclub in Ibiza, Spain.
