Notably, the 66-year-old was supposed to be a part of the network until the upcoming year based on the terms of his contract. However, an insider claimed while speaking to USA Today that the exit reportedly happened due to pay cuts that have been happening since 2023 due to the evolving news business.
The outlet also stated that the network is finalizing a new programming slate. New hosts will take over Neil Cavuto's shows on a rotating basis. The process is scheduled to start sometime next year.

The outlet stated that Neil Cavuto was taken to the ICU after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and he revealed the same while appearing on the show, Cavuto: Coast to Coast in February 2022. Neil told the viewers that he was able to survive only because he was vaccinated.
Neil had previously requested everyone to get their vaccinations so that everyone stays safe. He further stated that he had told Fox to not reveal his health issues to anyone. He clarified that he was not hospitalized because of the COVID vaccine as he stated:
