"Never insult an attorney" — Internet reacts to Alan Dershowitz vowing to sue Mohammed Hijab for calling him a "pervert" over Epstein allegations

On October 8, 2024, American lawyer Alan Dershowitz appeared in a debate opposite religious philosopher Mohammed Hijab on the talk show Piers Morgan Uncensored. During a heated exchange between the two, Mohammed Hijab brought up Dershowitz's alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

Responding to Dershowitz's defense, Hijab stated:

"You’re defending him. You’re defending a monster, a pervert, an old pervert!"

Alan Dershowitz expressed his discontent toward the remark and said:

"He just called me a pervert, he will be sued now for defamation and we will be able to resolve this in a court of law."

"The woman who falsely accused me has now withdrawn her accusation"- Alan Dershowitz countered Hijab's allegations

During his appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Alan Dershowitz was met with Mohammed Hijab's allegations wherein he condemned Dershowitz for allegedly visiting Jeffrey Epstein's island and receiving a massage there. Jeffrey Epstein was accused of having assaulted and trafficked multiple women on the Little St. James private island.

Mohammed Hijab questioned Dershowitz and condemned him for being on the island, alleging Epstein was the lawyer's best friend. After Hijab accused Dershowitz of being an "old pervert", the lawyer told him:

" I guarantee you that he will be sued for calling me a pervert. The woman who falsely accused me has now withdrawn her accusation and acknowledged that she may have confused me with someone else, and calling me a pervert will result in a defamation lawsuit in an American court and in a British court. I assure you of that."

When Alan Dershowitz mentioned the woman who falsely accused him, he was referring to Virginia Giuffre who accused Dershowitz of s*xually assaulting her in 2014 while she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein at his Florida mansion between 2000 to 2002.

Dershowitz kept denying her claims and in November 2022, Virginia dropped the charges against Dershowitz, stating:

“I now recognize I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz."
