On November 14, Jungkook featured a stunning dance performance on his title track SEVEN on Audacy. The Golden Maknae is currently promoting his debut solo album GOLDEN, which was released earlier this month on November 3.
The maknae performed his billboard topping, hit summer single SEVEN, and as all BTS dance performances go, the maknae's dance performance video had a unique concept and a stellar execution. Staged in a room, the dance performance featured Jungkook and his leading actress as he woos her with his silken vocals and smooth dance moves.
However, there were seven Jungkooks scattered throughout the scene. Going by the ecstatic fan reactions online, ARMYs loved the unique concept and brilliant execution of SEVEN on Audacy.
Fans even joked that "girls don't dream of eating and not getting fat, that's old news! A woman’s dream is a room full of Jung Kook!"
Jungkook's fans applaud creative SEVEN performance on Audacy
Jungkook took over Audacy to deliver a creative and stunning performance of SEVEN, which was released on July 14, featuring American rapper Latto and Han So-hee. Taking the title of the track literally, the Golden Maknae's performance featured not one but seven versions of himself.
After wrapping up the performance for Standing Next To You, he jumped off the stage and landed right next to his leading lady, only for fans to discover that there were seven avatars of Jungkook in the dance performance video.
Notably, SEVEN is a peppy track that boasts of an addictive hook, groovy melody, and enjoyable sing-along lyrics peppered with a generous garnishing of UK Garage pop.
The performance featured maknae expressing the desire to spend seven days of the week with his lover. To convince her further, the performance had seven versions of him, amusing ARMYs with his hilarious yet creative reference.
Fans also noticed the significance of having seven versions of Jungkook. Seven is BTS' lucky number as the septet consists of seven members and their friendship tattoo is the number seven as well.
ARMYs believe it is the maknae's way of telling he missed his hyungs, the other six Bangtan members, and wanted them to be a part of his Audacy performance.
In multiple interviews, the Euphoria singer has credited his BTS hyungs for raising him since the time he made his debut at the tender of 15 years and how his personality is essentially a sum total of the older six members.
ARMYs are warmed that Bangtan's beloved maknae chose Audacy to pay a sweet homage to his older members by including them in his dance performance in his own unique way.
Furthermore, Jungkook performed to 3D and Closer to finish off his incredible dance performances and successfully wrapping another promotional schedule.
Jungkook's Standing Next To You lands at number 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart
Standing Next To You made a comprehensive debut on Billboard's Hot 100 at the fifth rank, making it his third consecutive track in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. The talented maknae made his solo debut with SEVEN which debuted at the number one rank on Billboard's Hot 100 back in July and 3D also debuted at the fifth rank back in October.
Now with Standing Next To You, BTS' Golden Maknae has extended his streak of debuting three of his tracks from GOLDEN in the top 5 of Billboard's Hot 100. Additionally, Standing Next To You is ranked at number one on Billboard 200 and Billboard 200 excluding the U.S. SEVEN is ranked second on both aforementioned charts.
In other news, the Golden Maknae will commence with the Korea leg of promotions for GOLDEN in due course of time.
