Ages of DC Young Fly's kids explored as video of them being gifted a sculpture of their late mother leaves internet emotional

Comedian and rapper DC Young Fly (a.k.a. John Whitfield) recently gifted his kids a sculpture of their late mother, Jacky Oh. The rapper shared a video on his social media showing the children unwrapping the gift on Christmas Day.

For the unversed, DC met his longtime partner, Jacky Oh, while shooting for the sketch comedy series Wild 'n Out in 2015. Jacky passed away in May 2023, days after undergoing a cosmetic procedure.

They share three daughters Nova, eight, and Nala, four, and son Prince'Nehemiah, two.

The viral video, later shared by Instagram account @theshaderoom, shows the kids' immediate reaction, which left many emotional.

Dc Young Fly met Jacky Oh in a hotel lobby when he was shooting Wild 'n Out in 2015. They share three children: daughters Nova and Nala, and son Prince'Nehemiah. In June 2023, a month after Jacky's death, the rapper-comedian shared several posts dedicated to his late partner. In one such Instagram post he wrote:

"I wanted it to be a dream so bad but every hour I’m reminded of reality so I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner. You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful Yu always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!!"

Jackly use to share Instagram posts about her kids. Her eldest daughter, Nova, was born on October 30, 2016. In an Instagram post, Jacky described Nova as a "Scorpio diva, always wearing makeup & high heels," adding that she has "an alluring presence" and that "everyone wants to talk to her."

The late star also added that Nova is "inquisitive, (and a) quick learner" but joked that she is a "pickey (sic) eater". Jacky Oh also called her "emotional, expressive, (and) affectionate."

Dc Young Fly's middle child, Nala, was born on Aug. 1, 2020. In her IG post, Jacky described Nala as a "Leo, climber of all things that she shouldn’t be on (couches, stairs, high chairs), (and) a singer & a dancer."

The star also noted that the four-year-old was different from her elder sister, calling her "rougher," but added that she eats everything she is given. Jacky shared that Nala has tried to eat dog food multiple times. She added that Nala is "energetic, curious, (and that she) ran before she walked."

DC Young Fly welcomed his youngest, Prince'Nehemiah, on July 29, 2022. He is currently two years old.

While DC Young Fly sticks to social media posts related to work, he frequently posts about his late partner. This Mother's Day, he posted a tribute to Jacky Oh, adding that he missed her.

Last month, he shared a post with his younger kids reading a Bible, stating that he "leads by example" and was instilling the habit early on.
