The 2025 Golden Globes are set to be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, and it is unclear if Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will be a part of the event. According to The Daily Beast, the couple have been missing this event since 2017. Deadline has also reported that it is unlikely for Ryan and Hugh Jackman to be present on Sunday.

The outlet revealed in an article dated January 3, that Ryan Reynolds' absence would also probably imply that Blake Lively won't make it to the event either. Notably, Reynolds' film, Deadpool & Wolverine has only been nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.

The speculations around the couple's absenfe at the Golden Globes surged since the It Ends With Us scandal involving Blake Lively and the film director Justin Baldoni. For those unversed, Blake has sued Justin and his team for s*xual harassment. Meanwhile, Baldoni has filed a suit against The New York Times who were the first ones to report the complaints made by the actress.

Bryan Freedman, Justin's attorney even told NBC News, on January 2, that they were planning to sue Blake as well and reveal all messages exchanged between her and the film director. Freedman said:

"We want the truth to be out there. We want the documents to be out there. We want people to make their determination based on receipts."

Amid the drama and the year old tradition, it is highly unlikely that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will be seen at the Golden Globes on Sunday. The couple, however, have not confirmed anything about the same.

Nikki Glaser spoke about making jokes on the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively situation at the Golden Globes

Comedian Nikki Glaser who would be hosting the Golden Globes event on Sunday opened up about cracking jokes on the current issues between Blake and Justin Baldoni. Glaser first described the situation to be a "hot button thing." The comedian told Yahoo Entertainment:

"I think the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be."

Glaser further added:

"I also don’t want to give his name any — I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore."

The outlet reported that it wasn't unnatural for stars to get roasted at the particular event. Glaser, however, confirmed that there was no reason for the celebrities to be worried and confirmed that she wouldn't go too far to offend someone.

As for the issues between Baldoni and Blake Lively, both of them starred in the 2024 movie It Ends With Us, which revolves around an abusive relationship between two characters named Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid. The cast of the movie includes, Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, and Jenny Slate, to name a few. The movie currently has an IMDB rating of 6.4/10 and 55% on Rotten Tomatoes.
