Donald Trump recently announced the appointment of Kimberly Guilfoyle as the United States ambassador to Greece. His announcement was re-shared by Trump's eldest son - Donald Trump Jr. - on his X handle earlier today, with the caption:
"I am so proud of Kimberly. She loves America and she always has wanted to serve the country as an Ambassador. She will be an amazing leader for America First."
Trump Jr.'s tweet comes after speculations of his separation from Guilfoyle as the 55-year-old was recently spotted in Palm Beach, Florida, with his rumored love interest, Bettina Anderson.
The tweet has since gone viral, amassing over 1.9 million views, 47K likes, and over 6K reshares on X. Netizens are reacting to it by remarking about Don Jr.'s father sending his ex overseas.
Some netizens requested Trump Jr. to make a public statement about not being together with Kimberly Guilfoyle anymore.
"Please have some respect for her and come out with a statement that you two are no longer together. If you are still together then I have no words." - commented an X user.
""Dad, you gotta send Kim away. I'm b**ging a new chick!" - replied another one.
"Bro sends his ex to Greece" - wrote a third user.
Meanwhile, others criticized Kimberly Guilfoyle's move to Greece as a US ambassador by calling it a "payoff."
"Sounds like a payoff" - commented a fourth user.
"Why'd you cheat on her then?" - posted a fifth one.
"Everyone could see what was happening....then you cheated, but whatever. Happy she's being given a chance to shine and move onto better horizons herself. She'll do a great job. Cheering her up, up, and away." - added a sixth user.
Neither Kimberly Guilfoyle nor Donald Trump Jr. has confirmed the news of their breakup
Donald Trump Jr's congratulatory post for Kimberly Guilfoyle comes a day after he was spotted walking hand in hand with his socialite love, Bettina Anderson, earlier this week.
On Tuesday, December 10, Daily Mail shared exclusive pictures of Trump Jr. and Anderson at a high-end Palm Beach bistro "enjoying a romantic night out".
The couple spent about two hours at the eatery on Monday, where they were joined by another couple, and walked out laughing before they bade farewell, per the news outlet. Anderson and Don Jr. then walked towards his pick-up parked opposite the restaurant holding hands, before driving off.
The dinner came after Bettina and Trump Jr. spent the weekend together celebrating the 38-year-old's birthday. Anderson shared pictures of flowers on her Instagram stories on her birthday, tagging @donaldtrumpjr in it.
Other pictures from Anderson's birthday celebration that were uploaded on her Instagram included that of a bottle of vintage Salon champagne, which typically costs $1,300. The influencer also shared a snap of a diamond necklace alongside a pair of earrings, tagging Palm Beach's Hamilton Jewelers in it, captioning it:
"Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time."
While it's unclear whether Bettina bought the jewelry for herself or they were gifted to her, similar necklaces found on the jeweler's website cost around $100,000, the news outlet reported.
The store describes the necklace as:
"This exquisite 18k white gold diamond 'Y' necklace features a stunning combination of one pear-shaped diamond and multiple round brilliant cut diamonds, graduating in size. With a total weight of 28.27 cts the diamonds are graded E in color and S11-S12 in clarity, offering exceptional brilliance and fire… a truly elegant piece that captures timeless beauty and unmatched craftsmanship."
Daily Mail also reveals that Trump's eldest son has been spending his nights at Anderson's townhouse located in West Palm Beach - a property worth $860,000. Bettina's home is a mile away from Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail hasn't spotted Trump Jr. with Kimberly Guilfoyle since November 12. The 55-year-old was engaged to Guilfoyle in December 2020 and bought a $15.5 million waterfront mansion in Jupiter, Florida together soon afterward.
Kimberly Guilfoyle thanked the President-elect for her nomination earlier today in an X post, writing that she looked forward to "delivering on the Trump agenda, supporting our Greek allies, and ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity" as the ambassador of Greece.
