Finesse2Tymes has landed himself in a scandal after he and his mother discovered that the daughter the former was raising was not his. The latter claimed that she conducted a DNA test on the child and discovered that she did not belong to the Memphis emcee and Nia Love.

Since then, the singer has taken to the internet to express love for his baby daughter. Netizens have also taken to the internet to react to the controversy.

Earlier this week, Finesse2Tymes’ mother took to Facebook to express anger at Nia over allowing Finesse2Tymes’ family to bond with the baby, “knowing it was a possibility somebody else could be her daddy.” She added:

“@1finesse2tymes I’m sorry to have to be the barrier of bad news but you ARE NOT THE FATHER and I AM NOT THE GRANDMA! Nia you hurt us with this out !! Fron this day forward EVERYBODY getting DNA test !! #LIAR"

Two days ago, Finesse2Tymes, whose real name is Ricky Hampton, also took to Instagram to express love for his daughter by saying,

“I know they want me to lay down , but I got something to stand for.”

In another screenshot of a paternity test that was uploaded on the social networking site on October 2, Hampton showed that there was a 0% “probability of paternity.” He went on to share images of his baby daughter in the carousel of images he had attached. Finesse2Tymes said in the caption:

“I can love u so much to the point were I won’t cut u off , I’ll ask god if this person ain’t right , Remove them from my life , And in mysterious ways things happen and I never question it , Just know this , I ain’t take no L , I learned a Lesson , I use to treat women real bad , They say what goes around comes around , u reap what u soe , what go up gotta come down”

Evidently, it appears that Hampton will continue to parent the child, he thought to be his daughter, in whatever manner deemed fit. Internet users meanwhile flooded the internet with their reactions. Comments read:

Finesse2Tymes also took to Instagram to reveal that he had created a new song titled Down Bad amid the scandal. He claimed that he wrote the track in just 20 minutes.

Finesse2Tymes’ baby mother takes to social media to address the controversy

Nia Love has since taken to Instagram Live to explain the reason behind her separation from Finesse2Tymes and her getting intimate with her ex-boyfriend two weeks later. She revealed on September 1 that she broke up with Hampton after he told her that he did not want to spend time with her and her friends on her birthday. She then stated that she and Finesse were not together for two weeks before they got back together. Love then said:

“In that time [during their 2 week break] I was doing my own thing, I was single. You know, I was doing my own thing with an ex of mine.”

She then stated that at the time of her learning about her pregnancy, she did not know who was the father of her child.

Finesse2Tymes has three kids with three different women. In an interview with On The Radar, he revealed that he wished to have 10 children by the time he was 60 years old.

In November, he claimed that he was only committed to his baby mother @1fngshugga and nobody else, as per HipHopDX. However, the status of their relationship remains unclear at the time of writing this article.
