"Damn no surprise there"- Internet goes wild over Simpsons' prediction of Hawk Tuah

On the internet, the Hawk Tuah girl has recently gained popularity. After garnering fame from netizens worldwide, she even collaborated with Fathead Threads, a popular clothing brand to sell her merchandise.

The original video from where the Hawk Tuah clip was sourced, was later uploaded on the YouTube channel Tim & Dee TV on June 24, 2024. In the video, the interviewer asked her:

"What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?”

She replied:

"Oh, you’ve got to give it that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang, you get me?”

After hearing her reply, the internet went wild and compared Simpson’s prediction of the Hawk Tuah girl. The Simpsons, a popular animated sitcom had predicted something similar decades ago.

In season 4 episode 8, of The Simpsons, titled New Kid on the Block, Bart and Laura are seen sitting and talking to each other. Laura tries to read Bart’s palm and predict his future. That is when she does the 'hawk tuah' spit on his palm.

A viewer talked about the similarity of the video to Simpson's prediction and posted on X(formerly Twitter). They said:

Several other users also took this opportunity to praise Simpson's prediction and compared the viral girl in the video to Laura (a character in the sitcom), who had also made the Hawk Tuah sound, decades ago. Here is what some of the users on X said.

The Hawk Tuah girl now trending on TikTok and other social media platforms is originally shot by Tim and Dee TV. They are content creators, who do random on-the-street interviews.

While Time and Dee TV, were interviewing random strangers on the streets of Nashville for their next YouTube video, they met this girl who mimicked spitting on the microphone, which later garnered her viral fame and attention.

After going viral, she took the golden opportunity to collaborate with Fathead Threads on merchandise and also autographed several caps for the company, which Fathead Threads is currently selling exclusively and in a variety of colors.

As per Rolling Stone, they have made more than $65,000 from the sale of Hawk Tuah merchandise to date. Recently, there was also some online chatter about an action figure that looked like the Hawk Tuah girl.

Also, after the clip went viral, and received millions of views, the internet tried to find out the girl in the video's real identity. Some people even allegedly claimed that she was fired from her job after the video went skyrocketing on the internet. However, there has been no confirmation about the same.

Reportedly, she is a resident of Nashville and her real name is Hailey Welch, as revealed recently.
