Safaree recently posted a screenshot on his Instagram stories showing how his messages are not being delivered to her daughter’s iPad. This follows his claim that he had been trying to reach his kids for Christmas, but has been allegedly “blocked.” Sharing the conversation on social media, Safaree wrote:
“I’m trying to reach my daughter’s iPad so I can pick them up for Xmas, but I’m blocked. I didn’t know how 4-year-olds know how to block people. It’s hard being a deadbeat.. But I’m sure after this, I’ll somehow magically get unblocked.”
However, his former partner, Erica Mena was prompt enough to respond to Safaree’s claims about him being blocked on her daughter’s iPad. Sharing a video of the daughter’s iPad being out of battery, she alleged how last year Safaree did not show up as he was supposedly “with Neyos’s ex-wife, and its family instead.” She also claimed:
“It's been six months of not seeing these babies now since it’s Christmas I guess the photo opportunity is more important now than the once a week parenting time that’s been court ordered since 2022.”
As soon as Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena’s messages went viral on social media, several netizens began reacting and sharing their views. An Instagram user, @TheShadeRoom posted screenshots of the feud between the former couple, to which another user responded by saying:

Safaree and his ex-wife, Erica Mena got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2018, and later married her in October 2019. During their marriage, the duo welcomed two kids, Safire and Legend. However, the couple ended up parting ways in 2022. During their divorce, Mena requested joint custody and child support.
However, Erica and Safaree’s split has been in the news often as recently, Erica Mena also apologized to Nicki Minaj on December 23, 2024, on the Dumb Blonde Podcast. She stated that her behavior towards the rapper was because of Samuels. She said:
"I owe her the biggest apology. It’s funny how life comes full circle because the same thing he did to her, he’s doing to me years later."
She claimed that she allegedly ignored all the “red flags” in their relationship, and kept badmouting Minaj because of Safaree. The apology by Mena came after she made several comments about Nicki Minaj during her relationship with the rapper. It is worth noting that Minaj dated Samuels before 2014, while Mena got married to the rapper in 2019.
Talking about the present fiasco, the rapper has not responded to Erica Mena’s claims about there being no battery in the iPad, and the rapper spending the last Christmas elsewhere.
