Amid the LA wildfires that began on January 7, 2025, a TikTok user, @mizzyinmotion, shared a video of Elko shop's parking lot being used to store a collection of rare cars. The video posted to X on January 10, 2025, mentioned:
"Millions of dollars in rare cars evacuated into public parking lot."
The TikToker showed a glimpse of the rare car collection in Elko's parking lot and said that these cars had "never been seen before." The TikToker also asked another person about the worth of all the cars that were parked at the Elko shop.
The video garnered 1.2 million views since it was posted, and netizens took to X to comment on the same. Expressing intrigue over how the rare cars were brought to the Elko parking lot, an X user tweeted:
"Did he get a truck to haul them??? How did he even accomplish this??"
"Those cars combined could be worth as much or more than their mansion. I don’t blame him but I hope he hired security to watch them," an X user commented.
"When rich people have no choice but to park like regular people," another X user mentioned.
"This is feral catnip. I hope they have private security...," an internet user stated.
"Trying to salvage them but putting them in an open space away from anything that burns. As long as he filed or took pictures, if they’re gone it’ll be theft. He’ll get paid on insurance or his vehicle will survive the fire," another internet user said.
Additionally, some internet users praised the cars at the Elko shop parking lot and commented on their value.
"Heh, millions of dollars is no joke. That Gullwing SEL 300 alone is probably worth 2-3M," an X user tweeted.
"That's about 2.2M in cars - the Gullwing carrying the tab at about 1.5M. 190SL is nice - 200k maybe.... the GT350 is a tribute and the F430 is probably his daily," a netizen commented.
