President Joe Biden was spotted wearing a MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat while visiting a fire station in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, with Kamala Harris on September 11. The President was there to commemorate the first responders on the 23rd anniversary of the infamous 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In a viral video on X, Joe Biden was seen conversing with a Trump supporter. After some friendly banter and jokes about Biden's age, the President offered to trade his autographed hat for the MAGA cap.

Biden put on the cap of the Republican supporter with 'TRUMP' clearly written on the front. The incident went viral on the internet, with several Donald Trump supporters joking about Biden's gesture.

The MAGA movement originated and gained popularity during Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. It asserts that America was formerly a great nation with minimal international influence.

The official war room account of Donald Trump posted a photo of Joe Biden wearing the hat with the caption:

"Thanks for the support, Joe!"

However, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates quickly clarified, explaining that it was done to promote unity between the two parties. In his explanatory post on X, he wrote:

At the Shanksville Fire Station, @POTUS spoke about the country's bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that. As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it.

"Tomorrow, I am doing 9/11," Joe Biden's blunders yet again in public

The internet and social media users were highly active after Joe Biden made a notable mistake during a press interaction on September 10, 2024. In his effort to inform the reporters about his schedule for September 11, Biden mentioned:

"I’m going up to my granddaughter’s birthday in New York. Then we’re going to watch the debate and tomorrow I’m doing 9/11,"

The interaction went viral with netizens across the country questioning how the President could make such a comment about one of the most tragic incidents in America's history.

Joe Biden has had his woes with incoherent comments in the past, especially during his presidential debate against Donald Trump on June 27. The 81-year-old faced severe criticism for his inability to coherently refute arguments, resulting in unclear and unintelligible responses.

As an immediate aftermath, Biden opted out and picked Vice President Kamala Harris as his nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
