In a letter sent to the Manhattan federal court, which discussed what Diddy’s lawyers and prosecutors would like to discuss at the hearing, Combs’ lawyers shared that they wished to seek a trial in April or May 2025. Prosecutors confirmed that they would be available for trial. However, they did not mention their desired date.

Diddy is facing s*x trafficking, prostitution, and racketeering charges. He was arrested on September 16, 2024 after a federal indictment alleged that he coerced and abused women with the aid of associates and employees who used violent acts like kidnapping, arson, and physical abuse to threaten the alleged victims against speaking out.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, claimed that the prosecutors were attempting to criminalize the consensual s*x that occurred between his client and the women. Agnifilo added that Combs plans on clearing his name in his trial.

Diddy’s lawyer accuses Homeland Security of leaks pre-trial

In recent court filings, the Bad Boy Records mogul’s attorneys alleged that the Department of Homeland Security leaked information that would disallow Combs from getting a free trial. Lawyers Agnifilo and Teny Geragos called the security footage of Combs assaulting his now former girlfriend and singer Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel the “most egregious leak.” They said in their filing:

“The CNN leak was but one of a long and documented history of leaks and false statements made with one purpose: to savage Mr. Combs’ reputation prior to trial.”

They also alleged that Homeland Security was behind “unlawful leaks that resulted in prejudicial pre-trial publicity.”

Combs’ attorneys added that they wanted a gag order issued against Homeland Security to prevent further leaks.

News Nation reported that other court filings requested that Diddy’s detention order be reversed and that his release be permitted as he awaits trial. In a joint letter to the court, prosecutors also revealed that they have gathered “voluminous” evidence against Diddy that also includes several terabytes of material that contained information that was allegedly stored by Combs and his associates.

According to Vulture, a few prominent civil lawsuits that were filed against Combs included one by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., a record producer from Chicago who accused him of allegedly acquiring and distributing illegal substances, displaying illegal firearms, and also the solicitation of minors and s*x workers. A 'Jane Doe' also accused Combs of allegedly drugging and r*ping her while she was still a minor.

Cassie Ventura also alleged that Combs forced her to engage in s*xual acts. She also accused him of alleged s*xual assault, battery and s*x trafficking in her 35-page federal indictment.

Liza Gardner accused Combs and Aaron Hall of reportedly forcing her to have s*x with them against her will when she was just 16 years old. A few others who had filed lawsuits against Combs included Joi Dickerson-Neal, Crystal McKinney, April Lampros, and Thalia Graves.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has denied all allegations and has maintained his innocence.
