On November 21, reality television star Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share a glimpse into her law school journey. The 44-year-old shared a photo with reading glasses to announce that she was starting the seventh year of her law school.

Kardashian began her law career with a four-year apprenticeship with a San Fransisco law firm in 2018. Despite not being fully licensed, Kim Kardashian has already taken big strides in the legal industry. Her efforts led to the pardon of Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for a nonviolent offense.

Fans of the star took to X to share their reactions to Kim Kardashian's new Instagram post. Some popular comments on X are as follows:

"Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't law school take only 3 years?" a user interrogated.
"Kim pulling up to class in year 7 of a 3 year course," another fan wrote.
"7th year? What's her IQ? 60?" one user commented.

One fan wrote:

"Hahahah she gonna be 60 by the time she finish that shit. Surprised she hasn’t just paid for a fake degree yet tbh lol"
"To everyone saying “she’s doing it on her spare time” if you were as rich as her you wouldn’t have mad spare time? Lmao people are acting like she clocks in every morning and every night at a job where she doesn’t know she might be asked to do OT, and struggle to find a sitter," another user claimed.
"Kim Kardashian???? Is a lawyer????? When?? How!!!" another quipped.

Fans continued to stress on the fact that Kim Kardashian was taking seven years to finish a three-year course.

"7 years to get thru a 3 year school, would you hire a lawyer that took it one class at a time without even having to work?" a user wrote on X.
"Entering university after 30 is not for the weak," argued another.
"The law is literally changing from what she learned. Like her knowledge is completely outdated as she goes further," another fan inferred on X.

According to a report by the-express.com, Kim Kardashian passed California's baby bar examination in 2021 after four attempts. The television star plans to take the state bar in 2025.

Kim Kardashian pleaded the case of Alice Marie Johnson to the White House, resulting in her sentence getting commuted from life imprisonment to 21 years. In 1996, Johnson was convicted of money laundering and drug conspiracy and sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 25 years.

According to a report by CNN US, Kardashian took on the mission to help Alice Marie Johnson after coming across her story on X (then called Twitter). She met the 63-year-old for the first time in Memphis.

In 2018, President Donald Trump commuted her sentence, days after he met with Kim Kardashian at the Oval Office. The same day, Johnson was released from prison after 21 years. It was Kardashian who broke the news to Johnson for the first time.

In a statement quoted by CNN US, the White House said:

“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades. Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates.”

Recalling the moment she revealed the news to Johnson over a phone call, Kardashian said in an interview with CNN:

“We cried, maybe, on the phone for, like, three minutes straight. Everyone was just crying.”

According to Kardashian, her mission started with calling Ivanka Trump and pleading Alice Marie Johnson's case. Ivanka connected her with Jared Kushner, who reportedly took a keen interest in the case. This was followed by daily phone calls with the White House, ultimately resulting Johnson's freedom.
