Former Mushroomhead vocalist Jeffrey Hatrix (aka Jeffrey Nothing) has reportedly been diagnosed with cancer. The news was first disclosed by Mea, Jeffrey's daughter, on social media. Mea launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds to cover the treatment expenses of her dad. The page read:

"My dad has recently been diagnosed with Cancer, just months after losing my mom to the same thing. Due to this, he may have to stop working during his treatment."

The fundraiser, which has a target of $20,000, has already raised more than $12,500 from over 250 donors at the time of writing this article. After the GoFundMe page went online, Jeffrey Matrix took to Facebook and reacted on the same. According to him, he initially did not want to divulge it to the public. He further stated that the diagnosis happened a few months ago.

The Facebook post attached the link to the GoFundMe page and had a caption that read:

"I really wanted to keep this to myself. I was diagnosed a couple months ago. It will be very hard to continue working with the treatment path I have chosen. Thank you for anything you can do to help. I know everyone is going through a lot."

No additional details about the illness have been mentioned by either Jeffrey Hatrix or his daughter Mea. They have also not shared the type of cancer he was diagnosed with.

According to NME, Jeffrey's wife Stacy passed away in April at the age of 38 last year after battling with cancer for a long time. In 2015, when Stacy was 29, she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and had been fighting since then.

Back then, a fundraiser was launched to raise Stacy's funeral expenses. For those unaware, Jeffrey got married to Stacy in June 2012. Meanwhile, several fans sent prayers to Jeffrey for a fast recovery.
