Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former bodyguard Gene Deal sat for an interview with YouTube’s The Art of Dialogue on October 18 to discuss the chances of the former winning his May 5, 2025, court trial. This comes as the musician faces s*x trafficking, pr*stitution, and racketeering conspiracy charges.

Deal opined that the Bad Boy Records music mogul was likely going to go to prison considering the witnesses and evidence the prosecutors had already gathered against him.

Judge Arun Subramanian set Diddy’s upcoming federal s*x crimes trial date for May 5, 2025, the same date as the coveted 2025 Met Gala event. The prosecutors claimed that it would take them at least three weeks to present their case with Combs’ attorneys, claiming that their defense case would last around one week.

Meanwhile, speaking about the likelihood of Puff Daddy escaping the charges, Gene Deal said:

“How is he going to fight his case decent in jail? But that’s what happens when you lay your head… bruh, I would bet whatever I had that he ain’t got no chance in hell in getting out of there because they already got one witness for the s*x trafficking case and that’s all you need, even though she may have been a participant, and I’m talking about Cassie, it’s going to be hard for him to fight.”

Gene Deal opines that the Cassie Ventura footage has tarnished Combs' reputation beyond repair

Gene Deal opined that Sean Combs’ lawyers set an early trial date to ensure that the prosecutors could not collect substantial evidence in a matter of months. Deal said:

“You’re talking about his [Diddy’s] 18 businesses, you’re talking about, they say they [prosecutors] got 170 witnesses, you understand? They got a thousand bottles to test, allegedly baby oil to test… you’re talking about victims and their statement and presenting it to the courts.”

Gene Deal also discussed Combs’ defense attorneys blaming the Department of Homeland Security for leaking information about Cassie Ventura to the public.

While discussing the shocking hotel surveillance footage of Diddy physically assaulting Ventura that was made available to the public through CNN, Diddy’s lawyers said in a legal filing:

“The videotape was leaked to CNN for one reason alone: to mortally wound the reputation and the prospect of Sean Combs successfully defending himself against these allegations.”

Addressing the same, Gene Deal said Diddy’s attorneys are attempting to have the case tried through the public’s eye so the musician could avoid the trial by arguing that the grand jury has accessed information they should not be privy to.

Deal went on to add that the same would not work as the judge would not have the case expunged for this sole reason.

Sean Combs was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on September 16. His defense lawyers attempted to have him bailed out three times to no avail. He now remains behind bars as he awaits his trial date.
