Influencer Trisha Paytas recently made her Saturday Night Live (SNL) debut this weekend. Paytas made a surprise appearance on the December 7 episode that featured Paul Mescal as the guest host. In light of this development, a video, in which the influencer's former Frenemies podcast co-host Ethan Klein says that he would "rather die" than be on the show, has resurfaced on the internet. He also said he will cut his arm off if Paytas appeared on SNL.

"If you go on Saturday Night Live, I will — what's something really valuable I can put on the line? I'll cut my arm off. My whole arm," Klein said.

Internet users were quick to share their hilarious comments. One wrote:

"@WWTD_Thomas he better be prepared to loose that arm."

Many joked about Ethan Klein's remark, suggesting that Paytas went on SNL deliberately after Klein's remark. Here are some more comments seen under @PopCrave's post on X:

"you can see the moment she made it her mission to go on snl," joked one netizen.
"Imagine being the bad guy in Trisha Paytas's story," commented another.
"Welp, what's he waiting for? Chop chop!" quipped a user.

Some fans, however, also noted that Klein was never a good friend to Trisha Paytas.

"he literally was always her biggest hater while capitalizing on her personality and making fun of her," remarked one user.
"That man put her through hell. Now look at her," wrote another user.
"Not retweeting this to jump on the hate train. But retweeting this for the irony and success Trish has had, good for her. and that clip is absolutely comical," said a netizen.

Trisha Paytas made a TikTok video of herself as an SNL guest host back in 2020

SNL returned from its three-week Thanksgiving hiatus on December 7 with Paul Mescal (who recently starred in Gladiator II) hosting and Shaboozey as its guest musician. It also featured Trisha Paytas in a cameo appearance.

Paytas appeared in a sketch about Spotify Wrapped along with Mescal, who appeared as Myron, and SNL cast member Bowen Yang, who plays "anti-instrumentalist guru" Satoshi Gutman, known for his song Y’all Made Me Celibate.

While discussing his Spotify Wrapped list, Myron says that his most listened-to podcast was titled "Awakenings with Satoshi Gutman."

Trisha Paytas appears as herself as a guest on Awakenings. The pair joke:

"The bust bussy is celibacy."

Her cameo lasted for less than a minute, and then she reappeared during the show's closing moment.

Trisha Paytas previously expressed her desire to be on the live comedy show three years ago. During an April 2021 episode of her now-discontinued podcast, Frenemies, the influencer expressed she would want to "be on it" to her co-host Ethan Klein. Klein, for his part, was averse to the idea and even claimed he would "cut (his) arm off" if she ever went on SNL.

According to People magazine, Trisha Paytas also did a TikTok skit about the NBC show in 2020. In the video, she can be seen pretending to be an SNL guest host as its intro song played in the background. She captioned:

"Me hosting SNL this weekend because the internet really be showing me so much love right now."
