Renowned British actress and model Kelly Brook recently opened up about a past incident involving a missed opportunity to attend a high-profile party hosted by American music mogul Sean Diddy Combs.
On September 25, 2024, Brook appeared on the ITV talk show Loose Women. During the discussion, Brook revealed to the panel that she had been invited to the star-studded event but was stopped by her then-boyfriend, whom she described as "possessive."
"He was looking after me," Brook said.
Kelly Brook did not name her then-boyfriend during the talk show. However, the revelation came after Diddy's arrest on September 16, 2024, from a Park Hyatt hotel on West 57th Street under charges of racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution.
Kelly Brook reflects on missed Diddy party invitation
On Wednesday, Kelly Brook appeared on the Loose Women panel, where she reflected on various topics, including a high-profile party hosted by Diddy that she missed years ago. Brook recounted her past relationship with an actor in the industry, noting that she often discusses this experience with her husband, Jeremy Parisi.
She revealed that when she received an invitation to Diddy's party, her boyfriend at the time firmly insisted that she should not attend, highlighting the possessive nature of their relationship.
"There was a particular actor that I dated many, many years ago that was very protective over me. For example, I got invited to one of those Puff Daddy' parties many, many years ago, and my boyfriend at the time said: 'You're not going to that," Brook further said.
Kelly Brook further expressed that, at the time, she perceived her boyfriend's behavior as controlling, feeling frustrated that he was preventing her from enjoying herself. Despite her feelings of anger, he remained resolute in his decision that she could not attend the party.
"He was a very well-known actor that had been in the industry for a very long time and I was taking it as he was being very possessive and controlling," Brook said.
Furthermore, Kelly Brook suggested that in light of the allegations against Diddy and the ongoing legal cases involving him, she now views her former partner's behavior as caring.
She reflected on an incident where she discovered the invitation to Diddy's party in her ex-boyfriend's office drawer. It led her to reconsider her initial perception of his actions as controlling, recognizing instead a sense of care.
"Nothing more was said about it, and I didn't go. Years later, I found the invite in his drawer in his office. Because of all these allegations that have come out, we don't know what would have gone on at these parties," Brook concluded.
Brook did not name her former partner, but she did mention that her then-boyfriend was very well-known and had been in the industry for so long. Kelly Brook married Jeremy Parisi in 2022. Previously, she had been in a relationship with Jason Statham for six years (1998-2004) and also dated Billy Zane later.
Sean Diddy Combs was arrested in Manhattan, and a 14-page-long indictment was unsealed against him. According to the United States attorney Damian Williams, the indictment alleges that Combs had been involved to "s*xually abuse and exploit women, as well as to commit other acts of violence and obstruction of justice" for at least since 2008.
Moreover, the indictment reads about Combs' "Freak Offs" parties where there had been heavy use of drugs, alcohol, baby oil, lubricants, and multi-day s*x orgies. The music mogul is currently on suicide watch as he awaits his trial, as per NBC's report on September 20.
