DJ Akademiks was among those who shared the video of Kodak Black on social media on December 6. Other news outlets, like Hollywood Unlocked, reported that an unidentified “friend” of the singer shared content online showing the musician reportedly appearing to be under the influence. In the video circulating online, Kodak was heard saying:
“Drake’s favorite rapper. I’m his favorite rapper. He always say that. Even his people always say that. They always say that. Even when he… you know what I mean? Even when he ain’t around bro. So it makes no sense how did Kendrick Lamar beat you [Drake] to it. You know what I mean?”
Netizens have since taken to social media to discuss Kodak Black’s behavior in the video. Many assumed that Yak was under the influence of substances. This has not been officially confirmed by any sources at the time of writing this article. One netizen commented:
Several others expressed similar sentiments, with many opining that the person who recorded Kodak Black in a compromising position and posted it online was not a “true” friend.
For those uninitiated, Kodak Black has revealed in the past that he consumes substances regularly. He has also shared that he tried to quit but has relapsed several times.
During a recent Kai Cenat Mafiathon 2 live stream, which was uploaded online in November, Yak was seen taking an unnamed white substance, speaking incoherently, and also profusely sweating. Other reactions read:
