Funny Marco took to social media on July 24, 2024, to explain why he called off his Open Thoughts vs Really Good Podcast Tour with Bobbi Althoff. The former explained that he decided to pull the plug on their shows as their comedic styles did not match.

Funny Marco, whose real name is Marco Summers, uploaded a lengthy video on YouTube on July 24. He explained that he did not wish to see his followers waste their “hard-working money” on a tour that did not live up to the mark. He said:

“I love Bobbi to death, Bobbie is a good person… I don’t have s**t bad to say about nobody. But when people pay their hard working money I really care about that."

He further added:

"When I’m on a stand-up tour, and I’m selling out these tours, and then me and Bobbi being able to come together and people are paying their money to see us, I really want that to get better.”

Netizens began speculating that not many tickets were being sold, subsequently leading to the cancellation of the tour. Others, however, took to dissing Bobbi Althoff online. Some reactions to his statement read:

“I didn’t know people would pay to see them,” one person said.
“So basically those tickets weren’t selling,” another X user said.
“He really kept it professional. He wanted to say “We did a couple shows and she was trash and didn’t want to improve” but he was tryna stay respectful and politically correct,” another person said.

Bobbi Althoff has not released her own statement regarding the cancelation of the tour at the time of writing this article. Meanwhile, other reactions read:

“Cannot fathom paying money to see that chick Bobbi do anything,” one X user said.
“I don’t have a problem with this, she isn’t a comedian she works well in a controlled environment,” another user opined.
“Too much dry humor on one stage would’ve ruined both of their careers,” another person said.
“think this the first time i heard him talk in a serious manner lmao,” one person said on Instagram.

Bobbi Althoff and Funny Marco kicked off their tour in May. Their last show was to be performed in Kansas City on August 17.

“I just wanted it to get better” - Funny Marco explains why he canceled the tour

Funny Marco shared in the YouTube video that Bobbi Althoff “was stiff a little bit.” He also revealed that he had hired writers to work alongside Bobbi Althoff, but the latter was not a fan of the idea. Marco said:

“I just wanted it to get better but Bobbi was just in her way of doing it how she wanted to do it, and I was in my way of doing it how I wanted to do it. So, nobody was in the wrong when it came to that. I just wanted more out of Bobbi. I wanted her to dance more, I wanted her to talk.”

Funny Marco also addressed the matter in the comment section of The Shade Room Instagram post. He stated:

“I will never lose myself over money to get far! I got love for anybody paying to see me.”

Meanwhile, Bobbi Althoff hasn't responded about it. She was recently spotted with NLE Choppa, YG, and NFL athlete Sean Murphy-Bunting as per TMZ report on July 24.
