"He's stronger than The Simpson curse"—Internet reacts as The Simpsons allegedly predicting Donald Trump's reported assassination attempt goes viral

As Donald Trump survived an alleged assassination attempt, social media users have been left shocked as a clip from The Simpons’ has started floating on the internet, reportedly predicting the former president’s assassination. The clip going viral on the internet shows a cartoon, who looks like the former President being shot, while he speaks at the podium.

The clip of The Simpsons floating on social media is similar to what reportedly took place at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13, 2024. An unknown shooter is said to have fired at him, grazing the upper part of the ear. The clip is from a 2015 episode named BART To the Future.

Nine years later, when reportedly a similar assassination took place, several social media users started reacting to the clip. As an X user, @Kirawontmiss uploaded screenshots of the episode, another netizen reacted by saying:

As the Simpsons’ predictions have previously proven true, social media users now reacted to how the episode’s end was different than what exactly happened. Many were still left stunned to see how the cartoon allegedly predicted the incident so many years ago.

“Trump outta all people really proved the Simpsons wrong and altered the timeline,” commented one social media user.
“Trump embracing his inner early 2000s rapper going forward,” stated another X user.
“Bro really diverted the timeline huh,” commented another user on the post.
“He survived. Blood is on his face,” reacted another netizen
“He seems to be ok. He pumps his fist asthe Secret Service walks him off stage. Appears that he is bleeding from his ear,” wrote another X user

The incident at Donald Trump’s rally reportedly left the suspected shooter dead, along with one bystander also severely injured.

Amidst the Presidential election this year, the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania left Trump, the people in the rally, and the followers of the former president shocked. As the shooter reportedly fired shots at Donald Trump, he was immediately rushed off the stage. Furthermore, his right ear was allegedly seen getting hurt, and the blood from the affected area was soon seen across his face.

Just a few hours after the incident took place, Donald Trump released a statement on his Truth Social account, saying:

"I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.”

The post continued:

"Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, and shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

As the incident reportedly took place, several updates were made on social media, as the masses were informed by Donald's team and the Secret Services team claiming that the former President was fine and getting checked at a medical facility.


The incident reportedly continues to leave the masses shocked and concerned, with netizens constantly commenting on the Simpsons’ clip allegedly predicting the incident in 2015. However, as of this writing, the former President is yet to make any comments about the viral episode.
