Media personality Perez Hilton recently took to social media to share his opinion about Justin Baldoni's leaked voice memo from the night of the It Ends With Us premiere. The movie's leads have been engaged in a contentious scandal since December 2024, after Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of s*xual harassment and of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.

The voice memo was played during the January 7 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. In the recording, Baldoni claimed that he, along with his friends and family, were sent into a basement during the movie's premiere because Lively didn't want him to be anywhere near her.

On January 7, 2025, Hilton reacted to the voice memo in his post uploaded to X. He added that Baldoni's lawyer (who is also Hilton's lawyer, as mentioned by him in the video), reportedly leaked the memo during his appearance on Megyn Kelly's show. As the recording played, Perez Hilton commented on how Justin Baldoni sounded, saying:

"The first thing that comes to my mind is he doesn't sound angry. He sounds hurt but not angry. And he definitely doesn't sound vindictive. He sounds like he's rising above."

Perez Hilton dubbed Justin Baldoni's leaked voice memo "illuminating"

Perez Hilton, who has been covering the controversy surrounding Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively on his podcast and website since it unfolded in December, said he was hearing the memo for the first time, and he reacted to it as it played.

In the video uploaded to X, Perez Hilton also rehashed the drama that occurred in August 2024, after Baldoni and Lively refused to stand together during the New York premiere of the movie, leading to online speculations of a rift between the two.

Hilton also wondered if Megyn Kelly and her show did their "due diligence" and verified that the memo's date coincided with the premiere date. He then added that he was working "under the assumption" that the memo was "truly" from last year as he reacted to it. Hilton wrapped up the video by saying he was sure Baldoni's lawyers had more proof to support their claims, adding that the voice memo was "illuminating."

"That's just a little carrot that his lawyer is dangling. I'm sure there is a lot more where that came from. But, I'm glad we listened to this. This voice memo was illuminating," he said.

The memo, allegedly sent to the editors of the film (referred to as Baldoni's "dream team"), heard the actor detail his experience at the It Ends With Us premiere. He claimed that Blake Lively sent him, his friends, and his family into a basement for over an hour, adding:

"On what could have been one of the most beautiful nights of my life career wise, I literally was sent to the basement with all my friends and family for over an hour because I wasn't allowed to be seen, she didn't want me anywhere near her or the rest of the cast. So, they ushered me off the carpet and sent us down to the basement."

The actor and director continued that the absurdity of the situation left him and his "loved ones" laughing, adding that everyone was "joyful" and that the premiere didn't matter to them. Justin Baldoni further said that he didn't enter the entertainment industry to attend premieres, rather he was in the business because he was an artist.

During his appearance on the show, Justin Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman also responded to the complaints brought forth by Blake Lively, adding she could have backed out of the movie at any time if Baldoni had been s*xually harassing her.

Freedman added that his team was going to publish "every single document" they have on a website so that the public can read both sides of the story and draw their own conclusions.

Recent updates about the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively dispute

In other news, Blake Lively's legal team alleged that Justin Baldoni and his team "engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing," during a statement to People Magazine on January 6, 2025.

Lively's team also claimed that Baldoni's alleged smear campaign caused her financial loss, as her haircare brand, Blake Brown, underperformed due to the alleged bad press she received during the It Ends With Us press tour.

Meanwhile, Justin Baldoni's attorney has accused Lively of trying to "bully her way" into getting what she wanted. In a statement obtained by People Magazine on January 7, Bryan Freedman claimed his team had evidence that proved Lively's "pattern of bullying and threats to take over the movie."

The dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues at the time of this article, with both sides coming forward with new accusations.
